Daniel Craig blasts the reality TV clan in the January 2012 edition of British GQ , slamming the family for selling their  privacy for profit .

The actor , whose marriage to Rachel Weisz has been low-key to celebrity standards , brings up the Kaedashians in the larger context of modern reality-tabloid culture and its hypocrisies .

"I think there's a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel ," he says . "it's not about being afraid to be public  with your emotions   or about who you are  and what you stand for . But if you sell it off it's gone."

Craig explains , "You can't buy it back  ... you can't buy your privacy back . Ooh , I want to be alone . F*** you . We've been in your living room . We was at your birth . You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta  and now you want privacy ?"

Conrad Murray : Maximum Of Four Years "OMG"

Conrad Murray was just sentenced to the Maximum of four years of imprisonment.

Among those at the sentencing on Tuesday was Michael Jackson's mom Katherine , brothers  Jermaine and Randy  and sisters Rebbie and La Toya , as well as family friend Kathy Hilton .

Before the sentencing the Jackson family's attorney , Brian Panis , read a heartfelt statement on behalf of the singer's parents , siblings and children . The prosecution then argued strenuosly against sentencing Murray to probation , which the defense had fought for . 

"Prison is warranted," said the prosecution . and asked for the maximum of 4 years . The prosecution also asked for restitution for Jackson's lost wages  and earning , amounting to $100 million.

"We do not agree with the prosecution that this is a tragedy ," said the defense , but he is "not a danger to the community."  Pior to Jackson's death , Murray "never committed a crime," stressed the defense , which went on th say that whatever he does , for the rest of his life he'll always be "known as the man who killed Michael Jackson."

Still , the defense felt Murray should not serve this time , and that he "can do things on probation for the community ."

The judge began by saying it's "difficult" to impose a sentence , especially when one has discretion . That said , the judge felt Murray practiced a pattern of  "deceit" which included lying to law enforcement  and medical personel . 

The judge went on to say he believe Murray  taped Jackson's slurred speech as an "insurance policy"  to be used against the singer should the two part ways . The judge used Murray's documentry  to show there was no remorse either on the doctor's part . The judge continually slammed Murray , saying , "He remains  "dangerous"  and I think Dr. Murray is so reckless  ... that I believe he is a danger ti the community."

"You can't have probation when there isn't an acknowledgement of rehabitation,"  said the judge   who denied Murray probation , and sentenced the doctor to the maximum of four years behind bars at the L.A. County Jail.

The issue of restitution will be addressed at a later date. 

On November 7 , after a six weeks-long trial that included testimony from 49 witness and hundreds of pieces of evidence , Murry was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter  in the death of Michael Jackson .

Things between Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are heating up fast. The pair spent Thanksgiving together in Kauai, Hawaii. Lopez brought her 3-year-old twins Max and Emme, who joined the lovebirds for an afternoon trip to the beach

"Casper was great with the kids. He was twirling them around and doing flips with Emme and she seemed very comfortable with him," a source said. "Jennifer got a chance to sit back and relax while Casper took over and played."

Lopez, 42, has tried to downplay her romance with the 24-year-old backup dancer, telling Ryan Seacrest: "Until I'm in a really serious relationship -- because of the babies -- I'm not really gonna be commenting on my personal life."

Though the American Idol host is reluctant to talk about her love life, she isn't afraid to show it. After performing at the American Music Awards on Sunday, a source witnessed Lopez "grinding in Smart's lap, giving him a kiss and rubbing his head" at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood.

Ben Whishaw Cast as Q in New James Bond Film 'Skyfall'

 

British actor Ben Whishaw has been cast as Q in the new Bond film Skyfall, his agent has confirmed.
The role of 007's gadget designer was played by Desmond Llewelyn in From Russia With Love and most recently by John Cleese, opposite Pierce Brosnan, in 2002's Die Another Day.

At the age of 31, Whishaw is 12 years younger than Bond actor Daniel Craig, a first for the Q character. He is due to play Richard II in a new BBC Shakespeare adaptation which is part of next year's cultural programming to coincide with the Olympics. The actor played Ariel in Julie Taymor's recent film adaptation of The Tempest opposite Dame Helen Mirren.

Q is the head of Branch Q, the fictional armoury division of the secret service. He appeared briefly in the first Bond film Dr No in 1962 under his real name Major Boothroyd, played by actor Peter Burton.
His next appearance was in 1963 in From Russia With Love, played by Welsh actor Llewelyn, who played the role in every subsequent Bond film, except Live And Let Die, until his death in 1999.

The character returned just once in 2002, played by former Python John Cleese. As well as Craig returning as 007 in his third outing, British actors Naomie Harris and Albert Finney will join him in the 23rd Bond film, due out next year.

Oscar-winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem has been cast as Skyfall's main villain.

Prince Harry Gets VIP Treatment at Universal Studios

Prince Harry is still a kid at heart.

The 27-year-old royal visited Universal Studios in Hollywood Wednesday, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. Harry kicked off his VIP experience with a guided tour that began with gourmet lunch, followed by a spin on The Simpsons ride.

Next up? A behind-the-scenes studio tour, where he walked onto the set of a music video shooting on the Universal Studios backlot. The highlight of the afternoon included a trek through the very popular King Kong 360 3-D and the War of the Worlds, which were particular hits for the Prince.

Prince William's younger brother also hit up Jaws Lake, Jurassic Park: The Ride and Revenge of the Mummy (which he rode twice). He ended the day on a high note, offering a giant Curious George stuffed toy that he won at the theme park's carnival games to one lucky kid who happened to be near by.

Harry has been making the most of his downtime during his eight-week helicopter training course at Gila Bend Air Force base in Imperial Valley, Arizona. Last week, he rented a Harley-Davidson Softail Classic from a local dealership for $150 and rode it through the Arizona desert.

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Derek Hough, Jonah Hill, Jerry O'Connell and Josh Groban will try to fit into Regis Philban's big, well-worn shoes when they fill in as Kelly Ripa's cohost's on the recently renamed "Live! With Kelly" in the coming weeks.
"Dancing With the Stars" professional Hough, who will co-host December 5, and Hill, who will join Ripa the next day, are co-hosting the TV talk show for the first time.
O'Connell, sitting in this Friday, and Josh Groban, settling in December 7-9, are returning to the show.
Philban signed off Friday after nearly three decades with the show. Ripa's first guest co-host this week was Jerry Seinfeld.

It's been a while since we've done a "gratuitous Pippa" because we eventually got bored of the bombshell bridesmaid and her public displays of tennis-watching. But with winter approaching, Pippa Middleton has an oh-so-exciting new hobby: ice skating! And we kind of love it.

The younger Wisteria sister, 28, hit the ice on Monday for a Tiffany & Co. event and tree-lighting ceremony in London. Using crystals to cover her modesty Jennifer was seen writhing around the stage in a similar manner to Miss Spears in her iconic 2003 video. But while Britney was just 21-years-old when she donned the sheer outfit Jennifer bravely decided to try on, and managed to pull off, the same style at twice the age.

 

Justin Bieber Takes DNA Test

If Justin Bieber looked especially relaxed at last night's American Music Awards - singing "Under the Mistletoe," posing on the red carpet - there was a good reason for the singer's positive mood:
He reportedly took a DNA test Friday, as Bieber looks to officially clear his sperm and end talk that he's the father of Mariah Yeater's child.

Justin Bieber doesn't look too worried about anything other than making Selena Gomez happy, does he?

A source tells TMZ that Justin took the test at a lab under "very controlled circumstances." From here, assuming the results prove he is NOT the daddy, Bieber's team says he will sue Yeater for defamation.

Meanwhile, shortly after taking the test, Bieber rehearsed in Los Angeles for his AMA performance - and witnesses say he paid especially close attention to a certain member of the crowd throughout the evening: Selena Gomez.

"At one point Justin even sang I Feel Good, a la James Brown! They were totally adorable," an onlooker reports of Justin and Selena. "They were snuggling in between takes, and he was serenading her! They look as in love as ever."

Meryl Streep Film 'The Iron Lady' Wows British Critics

Actress Meryl Streep has put in a fine performance as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, according to early reviews. The Times' Kevin Maher said of the new film: "Streep has found the woman within the caricature." David Gritten at The Telegraph said: "Awards should be coming Streep's way; yet her brilliance rather overshadows the film itself."

The movie trailer came out on Monday - The Iron Lady is released on 6 January.

The Guardian Xan Brooks said Streep's performance "is astonishing and all but flawless". He added: "Yet Streep, it transpires, is the one great weapon of this often silly and suspect picture." The film was written by Sex Traffic's Abi Morgan,  and is directed by Mamma Mia's Phyllida Lloyd.
Critic Baz Bamigboye wrote: "Only an actress of Streep's stature could possibly capture Thatcher's essence and bring it to the screen.  "It's a performance of towering proportions that sets a new benchmark for acting."
The film follows Baroness Thatcher from her early years breaking through class and gender barriers to become prime minister to her political downfall in 1990.  The Iron Lady also stars Jim Broadbent as her husband Denis Thatcher and Richard E Grant and Anthony Head as cabinet ministers Geoffrey Howe and Michael Heseltine.

The Thatcher era from 1979 to 1990, was a time of social and economic change for Britain. Elected following a period of widespread strikes, dubbed the winter of discontent, Lady Thatcher and her Conservative government embarked on tough reforms to tackle inflation and the trade unions. Her policies divided the country - seeing a boom in the service sector and home ownership but a decline in manufacturing and soaring unemployment.

Jonestown: Guyana Massacre Site Frozen in Time

It's hard to believe that Jonestown ever existed. The patch of rainforest in remote north-eastern Guyana where Jim Jones moved his People's Temple in the 1970s has been almost entirely reclaimed by the jungle. Locals say if you search long enough, you can still find remnants of a tractor used for transport and agriculture and a filing cabinet that would have kept documents about the community. The metal drums in which Jones mixed cyanide and fruit punch in preparation for the mass murder-suicide which took place at the site 33 years ago are also still in place.

"We should make sure it's not forgotten by the young people. They should know what can happen," says 80-year-old Wilfred Jupiter, a labourer who helped clear the land and build Jonestown in the 1970s. Guyana is still the undeveloped backwater that first attracted the self-appointed Reverend Jim Jones. A former British colonial outpost in South America, its tropical location has done little for its tourist industry. It lacks the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches of nearby Caribbean islands.

  But some Guyanese would like to see the notoriety it gained through its connection with Jones converted into tourist dollars. Carlton Daniels is the former postmaster in Port Kaituma, a scrappy mining town close to the old Jonestown compound. He's one of the few residents who remembers what happened there.  "Bringing in some tourist dollars could be good for development. There's a lot of gold mining right now, but minerals don't last for ever," he says.

Guyana unwittingly became the focus of media attention when Jones leased land there in 1974 to set up a branch of his People's Temple. In Jones' native United States, the cult had garnered criticism; some members had defected. English-speaking and largely undeveloped, Guyana offered a place for Jones to set up a commune away from prying eyes. Cult members built a school, a pavilion and cottages, growing what food they could in the tropical heat. But the critics' worst fears were realised on 18 November 1978.

After escaped cult members complained that the organization was being run like a prison camp, US Congressman Leo Ryan visited Jonestown to try to help some residents to leave.  As they got ready to board a plane at a nearby airstrip, some of Jones' security guards opened fire. Ryan was killed, along with four others.

"It was the most horrific scene, and it hasn't left me yet," says Gerry Gouveia. As a young pilot in the military, he was one of the first on the scene. "The priority was to evacuate the wounded from the airstrip and then we went back for the bodies, but we still had no idea about what was happening in Jonestown itself."  After the shootings at the airstrip, Jones had gathered the remaining residents of the People's Temple and made them drink punch laced with cyanide. Many "drank the Kool-Aid" but others were shot or had their throats cut. Jones himself was found shot dead. A total of 918 people died, all of them US citizens.

The compound was reclaimed by the jungle while Guyana dropped out of the headlines. Now, some Guyanese would like to see Jonestown redeveloped as a way of bringing much-needed income to the local area and putting this forgotten country on the tourism map. What we need to do is attract people to come to Guyana, whether that attraction is Jonestown or Kaieteur Falls or birding or ecotourism or cricket, to see what a wonderful country Guyana has turned out to be," says Mr Gouveia, who now runs his own airline and tour company.

The country erected a plaque at the site two years ago that reads "In Memory of the Victims of the Jonestown Tragedy".  Events are sometimes held on 18 November to commemorate the tragedy, although this year the anniversary is overshadowed by upcoming presidential elections. But the authorities in Guyana acknowledge that much more could be done. "It's possible to recreate something to give people a walk-through experience, to show the videos and literature, to put up a museum of Jonestown," says Indranauth Haralsingh, director of the Guyanese tourism authority. "There could be targeted marketing first to the US and then elsewhere." Other nations have shown that it's possible to commemorate atrocities with compassion and provide the opportunity for tourists to reflect on past events.  At the former concentration camp at Auschwitz, visitors can walk the same corridors as those who were about to enter the gas chambers. In Kigali, a memorial centre remembers the Rwandan genocide, a tragedy less than 20 years old.

But Guyana's government is wary of marrying the country's public image inextricably to Jonestown. "We don't want to bring back the association with Jonestown and tragedy," Mr Haralsingh says. "So it's not our priority." Advocates for a memorial centre at Jonestown face one huge hurdle - the remote location of the site. Like much of Guyana's interior, there are no paved roads and few flights into this section of the rainforest. Jonestown will likely be left deep in the jungle.

Demi Moore has announced "with great sadness" the end of her six-year marriage to fellow actor Ashton Kutcher. The Hollywood power couple's split follows reports in recent months of Kutcher's alleged infidelity. Kutcher tweeted that he would "forever cherish" his time with Moore.

Moore, 49, and Kutcher, 33, were wed in September 2005. She had previously been married to actor Bruce Willis for 13 years. No divorce papers had been filed in Los Angeles Superior Court as of Thursday afternoon, reports the Associated Press news agency.

Moore made no immediate comment on her Twitter feed - her usual method of sharing news - instead releasing a statement via her publicist. "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," it said. "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. "This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

Kutcher, who recently took over from Charlie Sheen in the hit TV series Two and a Half Men, tweeted minutes later: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK."

Kutcher became a stepfather to Moore's three daughters - Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Belle - from her marriage to Willis.  Moore and Willis divorced in 2000, but remained friendly.

Her acting credits include Ghost (1990), A Few Good Men (1992) and Indecent Proposal (1993).

Bieber's Alleged Baby Mama BUSTED!!!

Justin Bieber's alleged baby mama sent a text Wednesday to a friend, begging him to erase an incriminating text in which her mom says someone OTHER than Justin Bieber is the baby daddy, and then promising to give him a cut of the action when she scores a payday. The person to whom Mariah Yeater sent the text asked us to blur his name -- we'll call him John. He has been in touch with Yeater regularly ... even before the baby was born on July 6.

In the text, Yeater pleads for John to "ERASE ALL MESSAGES from my mom." The text goes on to say that her mom sent John messages in the past, stating that baby Tristyn was fathered by Robbie -- an ex-boyfriend. She then goes on to talk about giving John money if he cooperates: "Ill kick u when we get paid." All of her texts end with Mariah Laci-- Laci is Mariah's middle name.
And TMZ has seen many other texts between Mariah and John. In one text, Mariah writes, "[John], would you please stress to Robbie how important it is for him to be in his son's life?.." Apparently, Mariah forgot about this text, because she didn't ask John to erase it.

Justin Bieber's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, tells TMZ, "This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story. Our independent investigation indicates Ms. Yeater never meet Justin, she has consistently identified another man as the child's father, and Ms. Yeater and her co-conspirators hatched this scheme in order to extort money from him and to sell her story to the media."

Weitzman adds, "There have been no settlement discussions and there never will be."

Surely Titanic Wasn't Filmed in A plastic Pool

Editor of Reddit, Dakshesh posted this photo to a thread titled “The awkward moment when you find out Titanic was filmed in a plastic pool, and your whole life is an illusion.” Now, at first glance, it would appear that Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio shot their famous “I’ll never let go” scene in an inflatable pool. If you’re taking it at face value, it seems as if James Cameron‘s epic movie took place in the kind of contraption you’d see in someone’s front yard. Could this be true?

Probably not. It’s not entirely clear how many scenes were shot in this tiny tub, if any at all. Several Redditors say that this was actually just a “holding tub” for in-between scenes to keep the actors’ body temperature used to the warmish water in the big tank where they actually filmed the “freezing to death” scenes in the Atlantic.

Still, it takes a movie known for its large-scale filmmaking and really shrinks it down. And they have a sense of humor about it. My favorite comment comes from ProbablyHittingOnYou: "At least that diamond will be easy to find, then."

As you may have noticed over the past 48 hours, Facebook has been f looded with porn. In a widespread spam attack, pornographic (and in some cases violent) images have been spreading like locusts.

The most obvious culprit is hacktivist collective Anonymous, as they have discussed plans to attack Facebook in the recent past, and announced the creation of a Facebook-attacking “Fawkes virus” via Youtube just a few days ago.  However, no one from the group has taken credit for the attack as of yet, if one can be said to earn “credit” for such a thing.

For its part, Facebook is trying to respond as fast as it can, but as the system has no way of recognizing pornographic images, the speed of their response is highly dependent on the user flagging system. “Protecting the people who use Facebook from spam and malicious content is a top priority for us,” a company rep told ZDNet, “and we are always working to improve our systems to isolate and remove material that violates our terms. We have recently experienced an increase in reports and we are investigating and addressing the issue.”

Ratner used the word "fags" during a question and answer session on his latest film Tower Heist. Mr Ratner recruited Murphy to be the Oscars' next host when he was hired as producer of the 2012 awards ceremony.

Correspondents say Murphy's resignation could be a setback for the Academy Awards. The ceremony has seen declining TV ratings in recent years and is battling the rise of newer awards ceremonies, which appeal to younger audiences. Choosing Murphy to host for the 2012 ceremony marked a return to the traditional, well-tried formula of a comedian host - one very successful ceremony was hosted by Bob Hope, Johnny Carson and Billy Crystal.

Oscar officials and Eddie Murphy himself insisted the split was not an acrimonious one. "I appreciate how Eddie feels about losing his creative partner, Brett Ratner, and we all wish him well," Academy President Tom Sherak said of Murphy's decision to step down.

Murphy said: "I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I'm sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job."

The Academy has not announced a replacement for either Murphy or Ratner.
Eddie would have been a good host; would have kept the joint jumping. He would have breathed a bit of energy and fun into a sometimes tedious ceremony... Whachoo think??

Bil Keane : 'Family Circus' Cartoonist Dead At 89

Bil Keane , the man behind the iconic comic strip "Family Circus" died yesterday ... he was 89.

"Family Circus" has been in circulation for more than 50 years and is currently featured in roughly 1,500 newspapers . The single panel strip centers around the antics of four young kids  ... Billy , Dolly , Jeffy and baby  PJ and their parents .

Keane was working right to the end  ... his final "Family Circus" is dated October 26th .

Michael Jackson's Death Bed Up For Auction "WTF"

You can wake up in the same spot where Michael Jackson didn't ... because his death bed is officially hitting the auction .

The queen-size bed is just one of the many items from the Holmby Hills home where Michael Jackson died that will be included in a Julian's Auction event next month .

It's said the bed is still in good shape ... but the linens have been changed since Michael Jackson's death .

Other items included in the auction are a mirror from Jackson's "inner sanctium"... a private bedroom in the home where NO ONE else was allowed to enter.

A rep for Julien's says the mirror contains an inspirational message Jackson scribbled on the piece for himself regarding his 'This Is It' concert tour  ... which says , "Train , perfection , March ... April . Full out May."

The auction is schedule to take place on December 17 , 2011.

Four days after Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty  of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson , MSNBC will air a documentary ,  starring the jailed doctor .

The film  titled , Michael Jackson : A Fatal Friendship  , has Murray breaking his silence about Jackson , as well as what happen the day the King of Pop died.

The documentary , which was shot over the past two years , will also offer a candid look at Murray's defence team preparing for the trial.

On Monday , Murray was remained into custody without bail immediately after his guilty verdict : He's set to be sentenced on November 29 .

Conrad Murray : Found Guilty ... Taken To Jail ... No Bail

Dr.Conrad Murray was just found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

The seven-man , five-woman California jury announced it's decision moments ago .

Dr. Murray sat stone-faced during the decision , which was greeted by a little cheering  in court and a loud celebration outside the courthouse .

Among those who let out a brief yell in court , much to the judge's dismay , were Jermaine and Randy Jackson . La Toya Jackson and family friend Kathy Hilton wept .

Michael Jackson's parents , Joe and Katherine Jackson , remained silent .

Murray's mother and daughter , on the other hand , wept when the decision was read .

The verdict comes after  a six-weeks-long trial that included testimony from 49 witnessesand hundreds of pieces of evidence concerning Jackson's 2009 death , cause by a lethal dose of propofol .

Dr. Murray will be sentenced on November 29 . He faces up to 4 years in jail .

The judge remainded Dr. Murray immediately into custody without the possibility of bail.

Murray was then handcuffed and lead out of court .

Justin Bieber's Baby accuser , Mariah Yeater , Speaks Out

The woman who claims Justin Bieber fathered her baby is speaking out for the first time .

Mariah Yeater has given an interview to "The Insider" providing her version of events from the night in October 2010, when she alleges Bieber got her pregnant  backstage after a concert  at Stables Centre in Los Angeles.

"He immediatedly took a liking to me," says the 20-year-old woman of her interaction with Bieber.

She claims the singer asked her if she'd like to go somewhere  where they could be along  , at which point Yeater alleges , "His whole demeanor changed  ... it went from being cute and gushy to ... more aggressive ."

Asked what proof she has , Yeater tells her interviewer , "I've provided evidence to my attorneys."

Bieber has vigorously denied the allegations , saying  "he'll take the paternity test and sue his accuser.

Justin Bieber is going to take a paternity test to back up his claim that he's not the father of Mariah Yeater baby.

But that's not all .

After it's established he's not the child's  daddy , Bieber , who maintains he's never met Yeater , is going to sue her big time .

From the start , a rep from Biebe's camp said what Yeater is claiming are bullsh*t .

The teen superstar has hire famed attoenry Howard Wirtzman , who's arranging for the DNA test , to file a lawsuit against Yeater shortly after the results come in ... reports TMZ.

After a short waiting period of time with several young woemen , Justin Bieber appeared  and engaged me in conversation , Ms. Yeater reportly says,  "Immediately , it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another , and we began to kiss . Shortly thereafter , Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be along ." I agreed ... an d on the walk to a private area , he told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time.

"But , from what I understand , she met him at a con cert and he sent two security guards down off the stage to bring her backstage to meet him," Markhouse said . "She's basically an honest good person  . She's got a big heart .She's a good kid and she loves this baby."
