Anderson Cooper Temporarily Blinded In Portugal

Anderson Cooper was temporarily blinded while on assignment in Portugal.

Cooper was blinded for 36 hours due to sunlight reflecting off water while he shot a story at sea for "60 Minutes."

He recounted the experience on "Anderson Live," saying: "I wake up in the middle of the night and it feels like my eyes are on fire, my eyeballs and I think, oh maybe I have sand in my eyes or something. I douse my eyes with water. Anyway, it turns out I have sunburned my eyeballs and I go blind. I went blind for 36 hours."

Kate Middleton just announced ... she's got a CRUMPET IN THE OVEN!!!

The Royal Palace has released a statement ... confirming Middleton is preggo with Prince William's royal fetus.

The Palace did not say exactly how far along Middleton is ... but noted she was in the "very early stages" of the pregnancy.

According to Middleton's reps, Kate was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with severe morning sickness ... and will remain in the hospital for several days.

Kate and William were married back in April 2011. This is their first child together.

If the child is born while Elizabeth II is still alive, it instantly jumps Prince Harry and becomes 3rd in line for the throne.

... which means more time for naked billiards!

Prince William Leaves Hosiptal : I Need Some Air

Soon-to-be dad Prince William just took a big breather today in London, finally exiting the hospital where his preggo wife Kate Middleton is being treated for severe morning sickness.

William left the King Edward VII hospital moments ago with his royal entourage. The guy's been there since Kate was admitted earlier today.

As we reported, the Royal Palace made the big announcement this morning -- Kate is in the "very early stages" of pregnancy.

It's like a real-life fairy tale! Only with a lot of vomiting.

John Travolta Sued : AGAIN "WTF"

A former pilot who claims to have had a secret gay relationship with John Travolta is suing the actor ... claiming he NEVER signed a confidentiality agreement that would stop him from talking to the media ... but Travolta's camp says he's completely full of crap.

The man behind the lawsuit is Doug Gotterba -- who claims he served as Travolta's pilot from 1981 to 1987. Gotterba made headlines recently when he reportedly spoke to the National Enquirer about his "steamy affair" with the actor.

Gotterba does not go into detail about his personal relationship with Travolta in the lawsuit ... but says after the media tidal wave that ensued, he received a threatening letter from Travolta's attorney Marty Singer.

In the suit, Gotterba claims Singer threatened to sue him for violating a confidentiality agreement he signed when he stopped working for Travolta.

Gotterba claims he DID sign a termination agreement ... but it didn't include anything about confidentiality. Therefore, Gotterba says he did nothing wrong ... and should be allowed to talk about Travolta without fear of a lawsuit.

　
But Singer tells TMZ Gotterba's lawsuit is "ridiculous" ... because he DID sign a contract that contains a confidentiality agreement ... and he even included the document in his lawsuit.

Singer adds, "Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed."

Happy 67th birthday to the Divine Miss M!

This two-timeGolden Globe Award winner was born in Honolulu, Hawaii where she took an interest in acting and singing at a young age. After landing a few small roles in the television series "The Edge Of Night" and studying drama at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, she made her first big-screen debut as an uncredited extra in the 1966 movie "Hawaii." The money she made as an extra provided her with the finances to move to New York City and start her professional career.

Though Midler was cast in a Broadway production of "Fidler On The Roof" soon after moving to New York, it was her gig performing at The Continental Baths, a well-known gay bathhouse, that allowed her to hone her onstage persona. She wasn’t the only celebrity who got her start there either: She was often accompanied by a then little-known pianist named Barry Manilow .

Her bathhouse fame helped her land a record deal, which put her on the path to becoming the singing/acting/comedienne power house as we know today. Her first album "The Divine Miss M" earned her the 1973 Best New Artist Grammy, and by the end of the decade she would record two more albums, return to Broadway and star in three movies, including 1979’s "The Rose."

Her star profile rose in the 80s and 90s as she starred in blockbuster hits such as "Beaches" in 1998, "For The Boys" in 1991 and "First Wives Club" in 1996. She starred in her own television sitcom, "Bette" (2000-2001), which earned her a slew of awards, such as a Golden Globe. These days, Midler has been working on her upcoming film "Parental Guidance," where she and Billy Crystal play babysitting grandparents.

Midler has had great success in her personal life as well. She has been with her husband Martin von Haselberg since 1984, and together they have raised a daughter. Midler is also a committed philanthropist and ardently supports non-profits like the New York City Mayor's  Fund to Advance New York City .

Now that Midler is 67, is it likely that she will slow down her monster career? It doesn’t seem so. In 2008, she told  The Daily Mail :
"It's ... a tradition to do good work up until the day you decide it's time to leave. Picasso worked until the day he died. Why aren't popular artists the same? Why are they so skimpy with their gifts?"

We're glad Miss. Midler hasn't kept her gifts to herself . Happy birthday Bette  from the PICs .

Hugh Hefner & Crystal Harris : Getting Married (For real this time)

Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner is engaged (again) to Crystal Harris (again) and the two will walk down the aisle at the Playboy Mansion on New Year's Eve (oooh, that's new!) ... TMZ has learned.

As TMZ first reported, Harris bailed on wedding #1 in June 2011 ... just five days before the big day.

But according to our sources, Harris and Hef are better than ever these days, since Harris moved back into the Playboy Mansion earlier this year. We're told the couple have worked out all their previous problems and decided recently they want to try and get married again.

According to our sources, Harris feels the time she spent apart from Hef really taught her how to be independent and stand on her own two feet ... something she felt she needed.

Our sources say the wedding will be an intimate gathering with just close friends and family.

The two have allegedly worked out their problems and are ready to give marriage another go.

"For a while, I'd been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven't really been at peace with myself lately," Harris told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show (via People) of her decision to cancel their first wedding. "It was all just happening too fast for me. I just sat back and thought about it all," she continued. "Is this what I wanted? And it wasn't."

But noe insiders say Harris learned how to be independent and stand on her own two feet while spending time away from Hef.

Apparently the wedding will be intimate and Harris and Hef will say their vows in front of close friends and family.

Why any bimbo would be such a materialistic bimbo as to marry a dirty old man who only look at women as things to be collected escapes me.

The time apart taught her to be independent and on her own feet and she realized that's exhausting... Oh my god you need money to buy food!

She is so deeply in love with him; yea right. This only strengthened the argument for gay marriages. Conservatives are concerned that gay marriage right will desecrate the sanctity of marriage but heterosexuals have been doing that for years.
