One minute she's a football player ... the next, Paris Jackson is pom-pomming her face off on her prep school's cheerleading squad ... another sign MJ's daughter is as free a spirit as he was.

Paris -- sporting a short new 'do -- hit the hardwood and rooted on the Buckley School basketball team in L.A. yesterday ... while hamming it up for the cameras.

It's just the latest predictably unpredictable move for the 14-year-old ... who was just playing for the school's flag football team in 2011 -- she's kinda like "Icebox" from "Little Giants" ... only WAYYYYYYY  more bad ass.

Besides the sports, Jackson is also an aspiring actress ... political activist ... model ... and Bieber-enthusiast.

Funny, Michael spent so much time trying to keep his children out of the spotlight ... but now, it seems she's reveling in it.

Sean Penn : Mourns Death of Hugo Chavez

Sean Penn : "I lost a friend  I was blessed to have ."

The actor, who for years has been vocal about his support of Chavez, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter,"Today the people of the United States lost a friend it never knew it had. And poor people around the world lost a champion."

"I lost a friend I was blessed to have. My thoughts are with the family of President Chavez and the people of Venezuela," Penn added.

Oliver Stone and Michael Moore were also among the Hollywood stars to pay tribute to the controversial politician.

Stone, whose 2009 documentary South of the Border celebratedChavez’s rule, tweeted, "I mourn a great hero to the majority ofhis people and those who struggle throughout the world for aplace. Hated by the entrenched classes, Hugo Chavez will liveforever in history. My friend, rest finally in a peace long earned."

Moore, who remembered meeting Chavez at the Venice Film Festival in 2009, wrote, "We spoke for over an hour. He said he was happy 2 finally meet someone Bush hated more than him."

Terrence Howard enjoyed getting steamy with Oprah in their upcoming movie The Butler, and during an interview with Movie Fanatic, the actor gets very candid about the duo’s on-screen hookup.

Heidi Klum : I''m Gonna Be a Judge on 'America's Got Talent;

"America's Got Talent" just got a lot hotter ... because TMZ has learned Heidi Klum has just signed on to be a fourth judge on the reality TV show ... which begins taping tomorrow.

Sources close to NBC tell TMZ that "AGT" scored the smokin' hot model in a last minute negotiation and Heidi hopped on a plane to New Orleans today ... where the show is holding its first audition rounds.

TMZ obtained a photo of the "AGT" set taken today ... which clearly displays the name "HEIDI" underneath her own personal judge's "X" ... which she'll use to crush people's dreams.

Heidi joins other "AGT" judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and new-comer Mel B. You'll recall Sharon Osbourne quit the show at the end of last season.

What creditials does she have to judge any talent other than modeling or fashion? Just saying it seems like these shows get judges just to get ratings.
Boring! Too many repeated shows in just another foremat. Thanks goodness summer is coming. Maybe she should have a show on working the street corners, shelters, food banks, etc. with her millions. You need to boycott the takers in the industry, they never give back.
Someone with no talent on America's got talent??? Good choice.
That show is a circus and if you like that then watch it otherwise change the channel along with me!! lol

Jack the Giant Slayer : Climbs to Top of Box Office

Jack the Giant Slayerwill debut atop another relatively weak box office weekend.

The fantasy adventure starring Nicholas Hoult is expected to earn approximately $24 million, according to estimates, which would put it comfortably ahead of last week’s champ Identity Thief ($9.2 million), as well as new releases 21 & Over ($8.5 million) and The Last Exorcism Part II ($8 million).

Dwayne Johnson’s Snitch is tracking toward a fifth place finish at roughly $7 million.

It’s a tightly packed chart after that.
The romance Safe Haven is neck-and-neck with both the Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook and the animated Escape From Planet Earth.

All three movies are expected to earn about $6 million.

A Good Day to Die Hard
should be in the #9 spot with $4.2 million or so, followed by the sci-fi thriller Dark Skies at $3.5 million.

Ben Affleck : I Didn't Kick the Paps , They Were Scaring My Kid

 
Ben Affleck didn't kick anyone yesterday and was merely trying to get the paparazzi to back off ... because they were scaring his daughter ... this according to sources close to the Oscar winner.

Ben was holding 4-year-old Seraphina yesterday when they encountered a large mass of paps. According to our sources, the photogs got too close for comfort and little Seraphina started crying because she was afraid.

According to our sources, Ben asked the paps (none of whom work for TMZ) twice to back off and when that didn't work ... he said "You need to be this far away" and swung his leg to demonstrate.

Our source says Ben never had any intention of kicking anyone and he was merely trying to protect his daughter from the paps ... who he feels have been getting more and more aggressive.

He should have just said "Argo f**k yourself" ... but they probably haven't seen the movie.
