NBC News reported Friday the letter from Donald Trump's doctor that declared Trump would be the "healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency" was written in five minutes as a limo waited downstairs to collect it.

In an interview from his Park Avenue office, Dr. Harold Bornstein said he hastily wrote the letter, but defended his over-the-top wording, telling NBC News that he "picked up [Trump's] kind of language" as he wrote.

"I thought about it all day, and at the end I get rushed and I get anxious when I get rushed, so I tried to get four or five lines done as fast as possible," Bornstein said of his writing process.

Bornstein's letter, released to the public in December, has again gained attention in recent days, as Trump and his surrogates have touted conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton's health.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow asked Trump's new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway in an interview earlier this week — after Trump pushed unsubstantiated rumors about Clinton's health — whether Trump should release a more serious health letter.

"As a doctor's letter, it's a little bit absurd. It's a non-serious letter," Maddow said, according to a transcript from MSNBC. "It's full of typos. It's hyperbolic. It's unprofessional. Most of the letter has no medical meaning."

Conway responded with a simple, "perhaps," adding that she did not want to comment on Clinton's health.

Obama 'furious'at Malia for appearing to smoke pot

President Obama is “furious” with daughter Malia for puffing on what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette, according to a report.

“This is the president’s worst nightmare!” said a source, who told RadarOnline that the commander in chief took executive action, confronting his daughter about her alleged antics during the family’s summer vacation. “The end of his term is in sight — and the carefully crafted image of a world-beating family is unraveling right before his eyes!”

Video first emerged of Malia Obama, 18, appearing to puff on ganja at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago last month.

Then, a “rowdy” party Malia attended on the island where her family is vacation — Martha’s Vineyard — was busted up by local cops.

“I’m sure he had some choice words for his daughter during that walk they took,” the source said, referring to a private walk the president and Malia took on Martha’s Vineyard following the publication of the footage.
Malia graduated this year from the exclusive private school Sidwell Friends in Washington, DC, and after a planned year off, intends to begin at Harvard in 2017.

Meanwhile, sister Sasha Obama, 15, has been toiling away at a Martha’s Vineyard fish restaurant, busing tables and prepping for the lunch rush.

Malia appears to be smoking pot at Lollapalooza --"IS SHE or AIN'T SHE"

 Malia Obama won’t be able to roll her way out of this one.

The 18-year-old first kid was caught smoking what looks like a joint at a concert in a video that emerged Wednesday.

The video, posted by Radar Online, shows Obama puffing away on the cigarette at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago last month.

In the 9-second clip, the elder child of President Obama can be seen in the background smoking as a young girl in the foreground of the video dances and sticks her tongue out.

An eyewitness claimed that Obama was smoking pot, according to the website.

Obama sparked some controversy in July after she skipped out on Hillary Clinton’s historic speech at the Democratic National Convention to rock out at Lollapalooza instead.

Photographs and videos of Obama also surfaced showing her bustin’ a move at the music fest.

Her commander-in-chief dad admitted in his memoir to smoking pot and using “a little blow” in high school and college.

Marijuana was recently decriminalized in the state of Illinois – where Malia was allegedly caught smoking.

State Gov. Bruce Rauner signed a bill into law this month that removes criminal penalties for those found in possession of 10 grams of marijuana or less.

Prince's family had guests in tears this weekend honoring the late singer, but at least they got to leave with a bag full o' tchotchkes ... TMZ has learned.

Members of Prince's family gave gift bags to everyone who came to the private memorial Saturday at Paisley Park -- and they were loaded with Prince goodies. A witness tells us mourners got everything from pens to tote bags and more -- all specially marked "The Eternity of Prince." There was even a chain with Prince's famous symbol.

We're told the gathering was small -- with just a small handful of celebs there like Rosario Dawson and Maya Rudolph.

MEL GIBSON Baby Mama Oksana Grigorieva LOOSE LIPS COST HER A BUNDLE

Mel Gibson's  baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva, just got word from a California appeals court ... she made one of the worst business decisions in the history of business ... because they just ruled she's only entitled to 1/60 of what she could have gotten from him had she just shut her trap.

The California Court of Appeals just dropped the hammer, saying Oksana screwed herself when she went on Howard Stern in 2013 and claimed domestic abuse at the hands of Gibson. The actor was on the hook for $750,000 -- a settlement he had struck with her -- but had only shelled out $250,000.

The agreement said she would forfeit the balance if she blabbed about her allegations, and the court said that's exactly what she did when she went on Stern. So, Mel does not have to pay the $500k balance.

Mind you ... Mel had agreed to pay Oksana $15 million if she kept those horrible audiotapes secret, but she changed her mind thinking she could get even more and disavowed the deal. Instead of $15 mil, she eventually struck a deal for $750k ... and that has now been whittled down to $250k.

Maybe she's just bad at math. 

[UPDATE] Oscar Pistorius treated in hospital for injuries suffered in prison

Convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius was treated in hospital Saturday after suffering injuries to his wrists while in prison, according to South Africa's Correctional Services Department.

Pistorius had sustained minor injuries to his wrists, Manelisi Wolela, a spokesman for South Africa's Department of Correctional Services, told NBC News. Pistorius told prison staff he'd been injured while falling out of bed, according to another spokesman for the corrections department, Singabakho Nxumalo.

Pistorius denied "speculations" of a suicide attempt, Wolela said.


"I have just seen Oscar and he is doing well given the circumstances," Carl Pistorius wrote.

"He slipped in his cell and injured himself, nothing serious. Please don't believe the media reports."

The former Paralympic champion was taken to the Kalafong hospital in Pretoria and returned to prison later in the day, Nxumalo said.


Pistorius, a double-amputee, was sentence to six-years' prison in July for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine's Day 2013. Prosecutors say they plan to appeal that sentence, calling it "shockingly lenient."
