Lindsay Lohan Lied to Cops : What Else Is New !!

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Lindsay Lohan lied to cops Friday by telling them she was NOT driving the Porsche that slammed into a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway, and as a result she could be prosecuted and her probation could be revoked.


Our sources say, when Lindsay was in the hospital getting checked out after the accident, cops from the Santa Monica Police Dept. paid a visit. Lindsay told police she was a passenger in the Porsche and her assistant was driving. But the lie didn't stick because later Lindsay's assistant told police Lindsay was behind the wheel.


We're told police are writing up a report that will include Lindsay's lie. It's a crime to provide false info to a police officer. In addition, lying to police could trigger a probation violation in her shoplifting case, which means she faces the possibility of jail on 2 fronts.


Several eyewitnesses at the scene tell TMZ, after the crash Lindsay and her assistant both got out of the car on the passenger side, which means Lindsay had to climb over the console. It appears Lindsay had concocted the lie almost immediately after impact.

Now we know why Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Holley (above) was rushing to the hospital. She knew police were interviewing her client. Unfortunately for Lindsay, Holley got there a little too late.

1:59 PM PDT -- Lindsay doesn't appear too concerned about her situation ... she went back to work on the set of her Lifetime movie "Liz and Dick" earlier this morning looking cool, calm and collected.


Lindsay arrived on set in a black SUV ... and it's worth noting she got out of the PASSENGER side.

Oprah Confronts 50 CENTS : Why'd You Name Your Dog 'Oprah'

Oprah Winfrey isn't stupid ... she knows 50 Cent named his dog 'Oprah' to diss the talk show queen after a recent feud ... and when the two sat down together, she totally called him out on it.


"I heard you have a dog named Oprah ... that was not a compliment," she said to the rapper.


Fiddy sheepishly replied, "I love you ... you know how they say a dog is a man's best friend?"


During the confrontation, part of Oprah's new show, "Next Chapter," ... 50 explained how he felt Oprah's famous campaign against the N-word and degradation of women in hip hop felt like a personal attack.


"I would see moments where you would discuss your feelings on the culture, and everything that was wrong with the culture was on my CD ... and I was like, 'She doesn't like me.' "


So why name the dog Oprah? 50 told her O-ness, "At the time, I was just looking at the situation and I saw I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn't even know me."


50 said he also got a cat ... and named it Gayle.


But now, the hatchet appears to be buried ... and 50 even told Oprah he pampers the hell out of the animals ... even hiring a babysitter to take care of them while he's out of town.

Denise Richards and Richie Sambora have broken up, a source close to the actress confirms to Gossip Cop.

The couple, who rekindled in November after having split up a few years ago, ended their relationship last week in Nashville, following a blow-up argument shortly before the CMT Awards.

　

Sambora, slated to be a presenter at the show, ended up bailing on the ceremony and returning to L.A., leaving Richards to walk the red carpet by herself , reports Celebuzz .

Linsday Lohan Reps : Truck Driver "Telling Tales" About Crash & Atempted Payoff

On Saturday, the truck driver into whose 18-wheeler Lindsay Lohan crashed her Porsche claimed the actress was "flying" down the Pacific Coast Highway when she collided with the back of the truck.

He also said in an interview with TMZ that Lohan and her passenger, her assistant Gavin Doyle , exited the car, and the actress then got into a Cadillac Escalade that had been trailing her car.

According to the trucker, the assistant and the driver of the Escalade allegedly attempted to smooth things over by him offering cash .

But Lohan’s rep is now slamming back at the allegations.

Her spokesman tells Gossip Cop: "Seems to me once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and Gavin are OK."

The guy driving the giant truck that got rear ended by Lindsay Lohan Friday tells TMZ ... LiLo was trying to flee the scene and when he tried to stop her ... her people tried to buy his silence.



Lindsay was driving on the PCH yesterday when she collided with a semi-truck driven by James (we're leaving out his last name). Lohan was trailed by a Cadillac Escalade (which James refers to as a limousine) ... driven by someone connected with her Lifetime movie.



James tells TMZ after the accident, he called 911 as Lindsay and her male assistant got out of the Porsche and into the Escalade. James says the assistant picked up a pink bag, "filled it up with something" and then put clothes on top of it.



James claims the driver of the Escalade was trying to keep him away from the SUV. James says he wanted to exchange info with Lindsay (whom he did not recognize) but it was apparent to him she was about to flee the scene.



James says the Escalade driver offered him money, saying they could "go to the bank" and withdraw some cash.



James says the Escalade driver and Lindsay's assistant put on a full court press: "Him and the guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media. But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, 'Don't mention the bag to the cops.'"



Steve Honig, Lindsay's rep, tells TMZ, "Lindsay is cooperating fully with law enforcement. She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for."

President Barack Obama privately met on Thursday morning at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with 25 young Hollywood stars to get them involved in his reelection.

Among those at the exclusive meeting were Ian Somerhalder, Jessica Alba, Zach Braff, Dianna Agron, Zachary Quinto, Sophia Bush, Jared Leto, Jeremy Renner, Tatyana Ali, Josh Radnor, Brandon Routh, Ben McKenzie, Bryan Greenberg, and Kal Penn, who tweeted afterwards, "Had a great morning w/ @BarackObama in LA. Talked about job creation, education, our troops, & getting YOU involved."

The meeting was part of Obama’s "Young America Effort," which focuses on energizing younger voters to go to the polls and support him.

Many of the stars took to Twitter following the get-together to share their thoughts.

Somerhalder wrote, "Totally surreal morning. Met up with some friends, had coffee with President Obama now tweeting.The 21st century."

Leto tweeted, "Great meeting with @BarackObama this morning. Thanks Mr. President for the inspiring words and thoughts .#ObamaTheRightChoice."

"Got up bright & early to hear @BarackObama speak w an awesome group #YoungAmerChat," said Alba.

Routh noted he was "Honored to speak w/ POTUS @BarackObama again today! Looking forward to helping #GetTheVoteOut."

And Greenberg offered that while "hanging" with the president, he was "talking politics, NBA, and making goofy faces."

The stars also posed with the president, and tweeted out the photos .

John Travolta : Alleged Affiar With His Personal Pilot "WTF"

In a move that could add credence to the sexuual harassment charges facing John Travolta , the "Pulp Fiction" star's long-time assistant has come forward with claims the actor is not only gay, but was also in a relationship with another man for six years.

RadarOnline cites a National Enquirer intevview

with Joan Edwards, credited by IMDb as having served as Travolta's assistant on films like "Urban Cowboy" and "Look Who's Talking" from 1978 to 1994, who claims that the actor and a male pilot named Doug Gotterba were lovers in the 1980s.

"I did everything for him, including taking care of his personal and professional schedules," Edwards is quoted by the Enquirer as saying. "Of course I knew he was gay. It never bothered me."

Of Travolta's alleged affair with Gotterba, who reportedly began working for the actor in 1981, Edwards added, "We both worked for John at the same time. Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends. He told me that John was gay and they had a sexual relationship."

The publication also quotes Robert Britz, identified as Gotterba's post-Travolta boyfriend, who shed additional light on the alleged relationship:

"Doug told me right at the beginning of our relationship that he'd had a homosexual relationship with John Travolta in the 1980s. Doug said John was constantly grabbing at his genital area, but he put up with John's sexual advances because working for him was 'lucrative.'

I personally saw about two minutes of Doug's home video showing John Travolta sitting at the end of a bed with his shirt off. There were plates of food in front of him. The video appeared to be shot in a hotel room. Doug made it clear that it was very lucrative for him to be what he called John's 'personal right hand man' and homosexual partner."

Britz also adds that Gotterba eventually became turned off by John's "hairy body," as well as the actor's weight gain in between film projects.

Among those to jump to the defense of Travolta was his long-time friend supermodel Janice Dickinson. After noting that she "worships" the "iconic" star, Dickinson tld RadarOlime : "If some queens took something the wrong way in a massage parlor, then that’s their f*cking fault!"

She then added, somewhat quizzically: "If you want to f*ck a chicken, go f*ck a chicken."

Travolta -- who has been otherwise tight-lipped about the scandal in recent weeks -- is currently the most sought-after star interview among top TV journalists including Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer.

"John is literally the most wanted person in the world right now," one top TV executive is quoted as saying. "Everyone wants him, and he can literally pick who he wants to sit down with, if he decides to ever tell his side of the story at all."

Travolta, who is married to actress Kelly Preston, has been plagued by rumors about his sexuality for years.
