The first person Lindsay Lohan called upon her stealth release from rehab Tuesday night was reportedly her mother , Dina. It's safe to say the last person she'll touch base with now that she's a free woman is her estranged father , Michael . But the distance between the two hasn't cramped his concern for his famous daughter.
"God bless her. Lindsay has been through a lot and I give her a lot of credit," Michael tells PopEaters's Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter in an exclusive statement.
With niceties about Lindsay out of the way, Michael then echoed his previous statements about his ex-wife not doing enough to keep their daughter out of trouble.
"Hopefully, Dina will do the right thing and finally get on the same page as me, because if we were most of this wouldn't have happen in the first place."
Michael previously told Popeater that what Lindsay really needs - in addition to rehab for her substance problems - is family therapy with both her parents. Family therapy , according to Michael , has, "been recommended by professionals for years, however, Dina just won't let it happen."
Michael contends that Dina has "failed miserably" with their daughter but that "we have both caused this situation with our daughter and we need to fit it together as parents."
Lindsay was released from her court-ordered rehab at UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday evening after serving only 22 days. She entered the facility on August 2 to begin serving a 90-day sentence , as ordered by Judge Marsha Revel.
Judge Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in Jail and a 90-day inpatient rehabilitation program on July 6 for violating her probation in an old DUI case . She ended up serving only 14 days due to good behavior and overcrowing at the jail....stay tuned , the Lohan saga continues...updates when available.
My spin : Michael is blaming everything on Dina , when he is just as reponsible as Dina. Tell us Michael, where was you when all this crap started with Lindsay... why all the interest now...Oh, everyone know you want your 15 mintues of fame.

Lindsay gets a break...Judge Revel Recuses Herself
Lindsay Lohan may still be stuck in rehab, but she received some potentially good news this week: Judge Marsha Revel has recused herself from Lohan’s case.
Revel removed herself from the case last Friday, court spokesman Allan Parachini and district attorney’s office spokeswoman Jane Robison said yesterday. As per the Huffington Post, prosecutors had complained about Revel’s conduct during the case, alleging the judge improperly communicated with participants and experts in the case privately.
According to Robison, the judge had failed to tell prosecutors about her private meetings on more than one occasion. At one point, Robison claimed, Revel spoke with officials at the Morningside Recovery rehabilitation facility about the potentially sending Lohan there after her jail sentence – even though Morningside was not on the list that court-appointed experts had provided. (Revel did eventually select Morningside, but was convinced by Lohan’s lawyer to send her to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center instead.)
Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox has stepped in as the new judge in charge of Lohan’s case. The law clerk for Judge Revel refused to comment, and court officials had nothing more to say in the matter.
A judge must never behave improperly. They have to stick to the letter of the law and have an impeccable reputation. We depend on it. It may be the only thing that guarantees us justice, the last bastion of hope for some poor devil sitting in court with everything at stake. ( that certainly doesn't include Lindsay)
