Jennifer Lopez : J.LO Knows How To Tangle With A restless Tot

J.LO takes a break and passes Max off to her bodyguard....Good advice if you have the cash.

Max says, "But mama I wanna get down and walk... I bet you can't catch me mama in those shoes...watch those heels J.LO.

Well max is upright again.....J.LO wear some sensible shoes next time...sandals would be nice.

Max is not upright for long...Max wants to get down so he can take off like a rocket....

These photos of Jennifer Lopez with a resless toddler accomplished the thing that "Jenny From The Block" never could : It made J.LO relatable.

With J.Lo entourage, banging post-baby body and general fabulousness , it's hard to relate to la Lopez. But we take some shameless comfort in the fact that the singer-actress-mama has trouble wrangling a toddler, too.The Bronx native looks a little frustrated, but hey, maybe that's just her way of saying "I'm Real."

J.Lo has a burly gentleman with her that appears to be her bodyguard that she can give her squirmy son to.

My spin on squirmy toddlers: Love may not cost a thing, J.Lo, but your bodyguard is priceless.

Tough Mamas in Tinsel Town

It's about celebrity moms and dads who know  how to say no. And it’s not necessarily the ones you think. (Hint: you won’t find Jennifer – “I’m just a normal gal…Don’t believe me? Look at my jeans” – Garner on this list).
1. Madonna
It would be normal to assume that Madonna was raising a little Material Girl, but (despite a wardrobe that makes Kate Moss look like a Gap commercial), little Lourdes  and the rest of Her Madgesty’s brood have grown up with all kinds of rules and restrictions.
For starters, there is no TV-watching allowed. Madge says they have a set, but only for movies (presumably documentaries about impoverished nations), because everything on TV is crap. Hmmmm. Does that mean the kids are banned from watching Mommy’s movies as well? The former Mrs. Ritchie, who maintains primary custody of all four of her kids, is also uber-strict when it comes to keeping the home tidy. And unlike with many of Tinseltown’s other famous families, there are no maids paid to pick up after her children.
Apparently when a toy or an item of clothing is left on the floor, it is put into a trash bag and the kiddies must complete chores to earn the item back. Sounds like a pretty good system if you ask me, and a sure fire way to cut down on house keeping costs.
And speaking of cutting down, a few years back, Guy Ritchie told the press that his Mrs. had officially entered into Grinch territory by cancelling Christmas, or at least all the presents that go with it. At the time (2007), Guy was all for it, saying: “Once we stopped all the presents, we started enjoying ourselves more.”
wonder if Madge’s new man (err boy), who may or may not still believe in Santa Claus, feels the same way.


2. Reese Witherspoon
Reese may not be one of Hollywood’s good time gals, but what the Southern lovely lacks in the letting-loose department, she more than makes up for in good old fashioned common sense and values.
She’s probably not the girl you’d want to party with, but if you ever need a billionaire babysitter, look no further than mama Witherspoon.
The mother of two (mini-me Ava is almost a teenager, and Deacon is 6), has made her children top priority, and not in that fake way where everyone says their kids are first on the list, but then shows up at Bungalow 8 every weekend. But while she’s happy to spoil them with her time, Reese is less keen on providing her wee ones with material comforts. (Let’s just say little Ava won’t be swapping tiaras with Suri Cruise any time soon).
While promoting her movie Four Christmases in 2008, Reese explained her own holiday season is a lot less gluttonous than you might think, given that she probably could afford to buy her kids a new planet if she wanted.
“I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy,” the actress said of her sparse gift giving practices.


3. Gwyneth Paltrow
So yes, Gwynie is the queen of all things extravagant and superior, but when it comes to her kids, she may as well be your average soccer mom (minus the soccer mom haircut, of course).
Just like her own children (daddy is Coldplay frontman Chris Martin), Princess P grew up in a celebrity family, and certainly didn’t want much as a young one. But when it came time for Gwyneth to grow up, she did just that, and apparently she wants her kids to experience the same school of hard knocks.
“My father made it very clear that the day I left university I was on my own," Gwyneth has said, explaining that she feels like letting kids know that they have a trust fund is like setting them up for failure.
“My dad didn't give me any money and I really struggled and I waitressed and bought cigarettes out of tips and tried to get to auditions with no gas.”
Naturally we  take all of this “I didn’t get a free ride” rhetoric with a grain of salt. (Gwynie fails to mention that her first audition ever was for Steven Spielberg…not exactly starting in the mailroom, to put it mildly). But I guess it’s all relative, and personally, I’m just relieved that little Apple and Moses will have a chance to experience the world without their famous parents. Although for the sake of anonymity, a name change may be in order.
