[UPDATE] Lindsay Lohan Involved In Another Alteraction "WTF"

Wednesday night ... this according to a witness who was with the other girl involved in the altercation.


The witness tells us ... the incident began after a major misunderstanding between the two sides while they were partying at the Smoke and Mirrors nightclub inside the hotel.


We're told the girl was hanging out at the booth next to Lindsay's ... when Lohan tapped her on the shoulder aggressively and asked, "Did you bump into me?"


The girl denied the bump ... and suggested the real culprit could have been one of the guys in Lindsay's group. She then pointed to one of the men.


Lindsay replied, "That's my dad ... why would he bump me?"


The girl shot back, "You go clubbing with your dad?"


That's when Lindsay snapped ... so says the witness ... who claims Lindsay began cussing at the girl and then threw a drink at her face.


We're told Lindsay's dad realized what was happening ... grabbed his daughter ... and bailed.

Michael Lohan appeared on "TMZ Live" yesterday and adamantly denied his daughter chucked any beverage that night (below) ... claiming it was Lindsay who was the real victim and the recipient of the liquid projectile.


Either way, the other girl is currently weighing her legal options.

Lindsay was the instigator, aggressor and drink-tosser in the fight at The Standard Hotel .

Sources close to Lindsay tell us LiLo is adamant -- her dad is telling the true story.

Lindsay ... a word to the wise ... stay home ... you should have friends of your own age and not go night clubbing with your Dad . .. that's how you got in trouble in the first place ...Dina & Michael ... set back girl and take another look .

Lindsay Lohan : Night Club Fight Sequel !!!

Lindsay Lohan returned to the scene of the (alleged) crime!!! We've learned she showed up at The Standard Hotel on the Sunset Strip Wednesday night ... went to Smoke and Mirrors, the same nightclub where she allegedly pushed a woman 2 weeks ago, and got into it with ANOTHER woman ... and it ended with LiLo on the receiving end of a flying drink.

Here's how it went down. Lindsay's friend drove her car to the hotel -- LiLo was in the passenger seat. The driver pulled into the parking garage and hit another car. Witnesses say Lindsay then called her dad, Michael, for help, and he dutifully showed up.

So what did Michael do? He took Lindsay inside the club and the two hung out for hours ... we're told without any alcohol.

Around closing time, a woman in the booth next to theirs made a snide comment about Lindsay showing up with her dad. Lindsay then got up and screamed at the woman, "Shut the f**k up." We're told that's when the drink drenched the actress.

We're told Michael then grabbed his daughter and made a beeline for the door.

Lindsay ... you had a lot of second chances ... be very careful your luck don't run out ... hon ; only a cat has  nines  lives  or so I have heard . But hey , that's just me , I roll that way .
