Team Truth is pretty stuck on this one : Should Piers Morgan , CNN's big , splashy talk-show host replacement for the increasingly ass-kissing Larry King really delve all the way with his first guest ? Since that debut Piers Morgan Tonight hot seat has been filled by Oprah Winfrey queen of the media - and the gay rumor mill = it's a pretty big decision not to go there .
After all , even Barbara Walters did ! When Walters , a legand whom we adore (and who's an arguably soft-ball celeb interviewer) , just chatted with the retiring mega-superpower , she daftly addressed the gay rumors , resulting in the Oprah denial heard 'round the world : "I'm not even kind of a lesbian."
Should Piers , too , continue the grilling ??
If so , we can see it now : Piers will dance around with warm-up questions about marrying Stedman and Oprah's blossoming TV fiefdom , OWN , and then right about question five (5) , it will hit . Indeed , Morgan , the outspoken former British tabloid juornalist , a TV host and judge (America Got Talent) has stated pretty plainly he wants to end the American tradition of bowing to celebrities .
"I'd like to get to the position ...where the butt-kicking is reversed ," Piers announced .
Ok but , will he ? Especially with the anointed goddess of the popular world , Ms. Winfrey ? And like we said ,should he ? Keep in mind , the Oprah tacties have already been decided ; the interviewer was taped last week and will air January 17 .
Was Piers all gooey with Oprah and did he decided to save the controversial stuff for a taped intro ? Or did Piers do as he said and kick some rear end ? Hmmm...
