George Zimmerman Speeding, Pulled Over With Gun In Car

(CBS) FORNEY, Texas - George Zimmerman, the former Florida neighborhood watch leader cleared of all charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, was pulled over for speeding in North Texas on Sunday, CBS DFW reports.

According to the station, Zimmerman was armed when officers pulled him over on Highway 80 in Forney, east of Dallas.

George Zimmerman smiles after a not guilty verdict was handed down in his trial at the Seminole County Courthouse, Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Sanford, Fla.

The officer reportedly did not recognize Zimmerman, who was driving a Honda pickup. Zimmerman told the officer he was armed and was then told to put the weapon in his glove compartment, according to the station. The officer then told Zimmerman he could go on his way if he had no criminal issues.

The incident was captured on the officer's dashcam.

At some point during the traffic stop, Zimmerman asked the officer whether he recognized him from television and the officer said he did not, the station reports.

When asked where he was going, the 29-year-old Zimmerman reportedly told the officer, no place in particular. He was released on a warning.

Zimmerman had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. His acquittal prompted rallies nationwide calling for a civil rights probe, and the case has sparked debate about race and self-defense laws.

O.J. Simpson Wins Small Parole Victory On 2008 Convictions

CARSON CITY, Nev. — O.J. Simpson won a small victory Wednesday in his bid for freedom as Nevada granted him parole on some of his 2008 convictions for kidnapping and armed robbery involving the holdup of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel room.

But the decision doesn't mean Simpson will be leaving prison anytime soon. The former NFL star was convicted on multiple charges and still faces at least four more years behind bars on sentences that were ordered to run consecutively.

The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners released its decision in favor of Simpson's parole request Wednesday. Commissioners noted Simpson's "positive institutional record" and his participation in programs addressing "behavior that led to incarceration."

"We expected it," Patricia Palm, one of Simpson's current lawyers, told The Associated Press shortly after the order was issued. "There is no reason not to grant him parole. I'm glad they did what they should have done."

Palm said Simpson called from prison to let her know of the board's decision.

"He's very happy and grateful," she said.

The parole becomes effective Oct. 2. Then, Simpson will begin serving the minimum term on four concurrent sentences imposed for using a weapon during the 2007 robbery. He will have another parole hearing on those sentences in a year.

After that, he has two more consecutive terms for assault with a deadly weapon, said David Smith, spokesman for the board.

The board noted Simpson had no previous criminal convictions and still has consecutive sentences to serve. Simpson was tried for murder but acquitted in Los Angeles for the 1994 death of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Simpson appeared before a two-member Nevada parole panel last Thursday to plead for leniency. He expressed regret for his actions and said he's tried to be a model inmate while behind bars.

Lovelock Correctional Center officials say he's had no disciplinary actions against him.

Simpson was convicted in December 2008 on charges including kidnapping, robbery, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to nine to 33 years for the 2007 stick up of two memorabilia dealers, Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong.

Simpson still faces time for four weapon enhancement sentences, following by consecutive terms for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

During last week's parole hearing, a graying Simpson told Parole Commissioner Susan Jackson and hearing officer Robin Bates, a retired Nevada prison warden, that he was sorry for his actions.

"I just wish I never went to that room," the 66-year-old Simpson said. He added he has made amends with Beardsley and Fromong.

While in prison, Simpson has earned pennies an hour working in the prison gym, keeping equipment sanitized, and umpiring and coaching games in the prison yard.

He said he made a promise to the warden when he arrived at Lovelock, 90 miles east of Reno, that he would be the "best person" they ever had at the facility. He added, "I think for the most part I've kept my word on that."

Simpson also said he's acted as jailhouse counselor of sorts to other inmates, some of whom are serving time for similar crimes.
But he said his deed was different.

"They were trying to steal other people's property," Simpson said of other prisoners. "They were trying to steal other people's money.
"My crime was trying to retrieve for my family my own property."

While Simpson remains behind bars, his best chance at freedom lies with Clark County District Judge Linda Marie Bell, who is considering whether he deserves a new trial.

During a May hearing, Palm and Ozzie Fumo, Simpson's current lawyers, argued that his trial attorney, Yale Galanter, botched Simpson's defense and had a conflict of interest in the case.

Bell has yet to issue a decision. If she rules in Simpson's favor, prosecutors will have to decide wither to retry him, offer a plea deal, or set him free with credit for time served.

Sydney Leathers to Howard Stern: Anthony Weiner Is A "Needy Little B*tch"

Some parts of the interview are too explicit to detail here, but Leathers offers some amazing insight into the behavior that could cost Weiner his bid to be New York’s mayor.

"I think I was flattered that he trusted me enough to send [naked pictures] in the moment, and also just completely baffled that someone so book smart could be so stupid in life," she tells Stern.

Leathers discusses her phone sex with Weiner, how he’d talk more about his cats than his family, his fetishes for heels and "shower sex," their plans for a "secret sex den" in Chicago, and much more.

She calls his infamous online nickname "Carlos Danger" the "dumbest thing ever" and refers to Weiner as a "needy little b*tch."

Leathers says she’s not sure whether Weiner "gives a sh*t" about getting caught cheating, and characterizes his mindset as: "I’m Carlos Danger, I’m going to do whatever I want."

She goes on to talk about her possible future in porn, her decision to go public with Weiner’s dirty deeds, and whether she believes he’d make a good mayor.

Oh, and Leathers also just posed for a swimsuit pictorial!

Sharon Osbourne: Justin Bieber "Doesn’t Realize He’s White and Not Black"

Sharon Osbourne sounds off about a range of hot-button issues in a candid new interview with The Daily Beast, weighing in on everything from Justin Bieber and Anthony Weiner to rumors of an impending divorce from husband Ozzy Osbourne.

Asked about Weiner’s latest sexting scandal, "The Talk" co-host calls the aspiring mayor "fabulously insane" and "out of his f**king mind."

"I’d like to slap him," says Osbourne, noting, "You’re a grown man with a great education, and you think, in this day and age, you can send pictures of your penis over the Internet and not get caught?"

The TV personality similarly doesn’t hold back when it comes to Bieber, whom she said last fall won’t "stand the test of time."

"I feel really bad for him. There’s this little kid with a huge dream, he’s cute, girls love him, and he wants to be a mean boy, and he’s about as mean as a f**kin’ kitten, and he’s trying to act out," says Osbourne. "It’s like pissing in a bucket. It’s like, ‘Oh, we’re the bad boys!’ F**k off! You don’t know what bad is."

She continues, "And I think that he’s lost, I really do. I think he doesn’t realize he’s white and not black, that’s a huge problem. And, at the point he’s at in his career, it’s so dangerous because we’ve seen it all before a million times. Where do you go when you’re a child entertainer and then you want to transition to be a man? Very few make it."

And what about Kayne West?

"I have no time for him. He bores me. I said it on the show, he’s an average-looking man with an average talent, but he’s a great salesman. He should sell cars because they would f**kin’ fly out the door," she says, adding, "He’s his No. 1 fan."

Osbourne isn’t just full of insults, though.

She calls Taylor Swith "brilliant," Justin Timberlake "the best all-arounder,"Barbara Walters "an amazing woman," and admits that her decision to have a preventative double mastectomy last year was "nowhere near" as serious as what Angelina Jolie managed.

"She had lost her mother and her aunt to it, and she has all those babies to take care of," says Osbourne. "I’ve had my life, and she hasn’t yet."

As for speculation that she’s on the rocks with Ozzy due to his recent relapse, Osbourne confirms she’s in the relationship for the long haul.

She explains, "It’s a drug and alcohol addiction, and he slipped really badly. Well, he didn’t slip, he f**kin’ fell. At that time in my life, I couldn’t handle it. I just said, ‘You’ve got to get out and come back when you’re sober.’"

"It was not a case of divorce. I would never divorce my husband. Ever. I love him too much. He’s far from perfect, and I’m even further from perfect, but I’ve known him for 42 years, and we’ve been a couple for 33. That’s my life," says the former reality star.

She then adds, " You just don’t walk away from people because they have a problem — unless they write on their c*ck and send it all around the world!"

Justin Bieber Drugs Seized from Tour Bus Connected with Singer

A bus associated with Justin Bieber's tour was stopped last night at the border between Michigan and Canada ... and authorities seized both marijuana and drug paraphernalia, law enforcement tells TMZ.

Chief Customs and Border Protection Officer Ken Hammond tells us, the bus was stopped at the Ambassador Bridge -- which separates Windsor, Canada and Detroit -- after a drug-sniffing dog detected the presence of weed on board.

Hammond says a subsequent search of the bus revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Justin was NOT on the bus in question.

We're told the drugs and paraphernalia were seized and the driver was issued a citation. The driver and passengers were subsequently released without further incident.

The Ambassador Bridge checkpoint is beginning to develop a reputation for itself -- Rihanna's tour bus was pulled over for the same reason back in March.

So, basically they were issued a "citation"--and then nothing was done, and no charges--so...why bother with the drug sniffing dogs, etc? It seems celebrity justice is everywhere.

Anthony Weiner Publicly Scolded

This video is super awkward ... Anthony Weiner was put on BLAST Friday by an ex-school teacher for his raunchy, sexting ways ... and it all happened while cameras rolled.

Weiner was visiting homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy, when he walked into a s**t storm himself ... in the form of Peg Brunda a retired teacher, who went off on him.

You gotta watch the heated exchange -- but to give you an idea just how PISSED Brunda is that Weiner refuses to drop out of the NYC mayoral race, she says, "Had I conducted myself in the manner in which you conducted yourself, my job would have been gone."

Then adds, "I don’t quite understand how you would feel you would have the moral authority as the head administrator in this city to oversee employees when your standard of conduct is so much lower than the standard of conduct that’s expected of us."

Weiner tries to fire back ... but Peg doesn't back down.

Anthony Weiner's repeated indiscretions are leading to some campaign trail awkwardness.
WATCH VIDEO BELOW:On Friday, the New York City mayoral candidate was confronted by Peg Brunda, a retired teacher who did not mince words while scolding Weiner for the sexting scandals that resurfaced this week .

"Had I conducted myself in the manner in which you conducted yourself, my job would have been gone," charged Brunda, who went on to question the politician’s "moral authority" after "sticking… [his] hand down his pants."

Weiner repeatedly tried to extricate himself from the line of questioning.

It did not go well.

Witchy is really pissed off and will have her say :
This woman was calm and stated her position and let him answer the question, which he never really answered, just like a politician and thank goodness he is losing in the polls. If he won, the people of New York would probably be paying for his sexting bill. So glad that there are people who will stand up to those in a position to govern others.

I love her. I would vote for her all day. Very good.

The Weiner is shrinking in the polls....... HeHe

Debbie RoweTo Testify About MJ's Shocking Drug Use

Debbie Rowe will testify in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case that MJ was a SECRET, hardcore drug addict for decades -- testimony that could severely damage the Jackson's case.

Sources connected with the trial tell TMZ ... Rowe will be called by AEG Live Tuesday or Wednesday ... and she'll testify that in the '80s and '90s ... she knew Michael was abusing some prescription meds, but had no idea his habit was so out of control.

We're told Rowe will point the finger at her former boss, MJ's go-to doc, Arnie Klein. Rowe will testify she learned after the fact that Klein had a standing order ... when Michael came to the office he should be injected with Demerol and Vistaril (which makes the Demerol stronger).

Rowe will say Michael kept the extent of his drug abuse a secret from her -- something that will clearly help AEG, because the company is arguing it had no reason to know Michael was a drug abuser.

Rowe will say she saw Michael on TMZ coming out of Klein's office days before he died -- looking totally out of it. We're told she will say she called Klein after Michael died and said, "What the f**k did you give him? He's dead and it's your fault." She then hung up on him.

Rowe's testimony will further help AEG because she'll say she had no idea Michael was secretly going to surgical offices specifically for the purpose of getting high and going to sleep.

She'll also say she's the only person in Michael's world who could control him -- that she's the only one (including Michael's family) who would say "NO."

The testimony could be critical. If the jury believes Michael could hide his hardcore drug use, AEG would have no reason to sound an alarm or take preventative action.
Witchy is bored to tears  get this crap over with all ready .
I have mixed feelings about Debbie Rowe's testimony. The main one is, if she knew of Michael's out-of-control addition --- why didn't she take the kids away from him? By not DOING anything she enabled Michael to continue using. Michael may have been a phenomenon talent and his fan base may be in the thousands --- but nothing will ever change my opinion that he was a strung out druggie who "put on a show" for the world to see he was a good father. No REAL father would do such a thing, knowing how his children looked up to him.

Beth Chapman Arrest Warrant Issued

Beth Chapman is learning the hard way ... you don't call another chick a whore and a slut in Colorado ... because she's now facing imminent arrest.

Beth and hubby Dog the Bounty Hunter were fishing at a lake earlier this month when a car roared by ... which didn't sit well with the famous couple and their kids. Beth allegedly began berating the teenage passenger, whom she called a tramp, a whore and a slut, among other choice words.

The situation escalated ... and Beth called 911, claiming one of the people in the party she confronted was ominously carrying a gun with his hand on the grip.

By the time cops arrived, Beth and her brood had split. But the teen filed a criminal harassment complaint. Under Colorado law, if someone taunts, challenges or uses "coarse language" against someone, it's a crime. It appears slut and whore qualify.

So cops issued a summons for Beth to appear in court on the misdemeanor harassment charge. Law enforcement tells TMZ ... they called her on her cell several times to come down to the station to pick up the summons, but she blew them off.

So police issued an arrest warrant, which means Dog could make some money by cuffing his wife and taking her to the station -- kidding.

Cops tell us ... Beth's lawyer has already contacted them, and arranged for Beth to turn herself in and accept the summons.

BTW ... Colorado cops tell us ... the guy with the gun didn't violate the law, and in Colorado you can walk into a grocery story with a gun in holster and it's perfectly legal.
Witchy says  these fools are hilarious:Dog the Bounty Hunter makes George W. Bush look like William F. Buckley . And his wife reminds me of someone you would see on Jerry Springer Show .She looks liker Huck Hogan's ex-wife = complete Trash .You really know how to pick them guys ... real Classy . HeHe

Anthony Weiner: How Last Summer's Interview with PEOPLE Stacks Up Now

When they invited PEOPLE into their Manhattan home last summer – their first interview since he resigned from Congress amid scandel – Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin (joined by baby son Jordan) were the picture of a family tasted, but healed and happy again, with Anthony's sexting habit kicked .

Now, he tells a very different version of What I Did Last Summer, calling it "a rough time in our marriage." (Asked Wednesday at a campaign event whether he'd been dishonest, Weiner said, "Look, I was going through some things personally – family-wise – and trying to be honest about it, about where we were at the time. But this thing, you know, was still there.")

Here, PEOPLE offers previously unpublished and expansive excerpts from that 2012 inteview to shed new light on what Weiner and Abedin are saying now.

THEN: The Best Husband
Weiner said in the July 2012 interview that he went through therapy around the time of his June 16, 2011 resignation from Congress – "It was early on: May, June. When this all was going down." He emphasized that he was diligent about behaving. "Every day since this has happened, I've tried to become a better person, a husband that Huma deserves and as good a father as I can be. And I've explored every way to try to do those things and I'm committed to continuing on that path."

Abedin, too, said all was well – his bad behavior banished to the past, describing him as a model husband. "Anthony would be the first to tell you that he regrets the mistakes that he made and he has spent every single day since then trying to be the best dad he can be, the best husband he can be and it shows. I consider myself very lucky to be married to him. I'm proud to be married to him, I want Jordan to be proud of who his father is."

She continued, "I tell my friends things that Anthony does and they're always like, 'Really? He does that?! My husband doesn't do that.' I mean, I have not washed a single piece of clothing ever. Anthony does all our laundry. I have not been to our dry cleaner. He does that. He makes my tea when I get up in the morning. He's just a loving, caring, thoughtful spouse and partner."

Standing at the door to their midtown apartment, Abedin had tears in her eyes as she explained why she, a normally very private and press-shy woman, was inviting PEOPLE into her home to tell her family's story.

The New York Post was, a full year after the scandal first broke, still posting photographers at the front door to their building "as if we should have something to hide," she said then.

"My husband did a really, really stupid thing. But he didn't kill anyone and the only person he hurt was me. It was an extremely difficult and painful time in our marriage and having to endure it publicly didn't make it easier. It took a lot of time, a lot of work to get where we are today. … There was love there, this commitment. … We're a happy family. We're a couple in love and have a baby boy who is a reflection of that love and I want people to know that. I just want people to know we're a normal family."

NOW: It Was a Rough Time
Weiner, who is running for the Democratic nomination in New York City's mayoral race, told Tuesday's press conference that his sexting continued well past PEOPLE's July 2012 story – at least into that August. And, according to one recipient of his lewd messages and photos, reportedly as late as November 2012.

Whatever the duration, he explained, "The fact is that that was also the time that my wife and I were working through some things in our marriage." Or, as he put it in a letter to supporters today, "It was a terrible mistake that I unfortunately returned to during a rough time in our marriage."

For her part, Abedin did not specify at the press conference when she found out about his continued sexting – except to say that she knew before he announced his mayoral candidacy in late May 2013. "It took a lot of work and whole lot of therapy to get to a place where I could forgive Anthony," she said Tuesday. "I love him. ...I believe in him."

THEN: That Still of the Night
Weiner told PEOPLE in 2012 that his son's birth in December 2011 forced him to throttle down the frenetic energy he has blamed for his sexting.

"I forget who said it, but someone said to me, 'Try to be as still as possible in this storm. I guess that sentiment is something that I still kind of experience now – a certain stillness, a certain quietness of your soul that belies all the tumult going around. That's not my m.o. Of all the adjectives you could use to describe Anthony Weiner, 'still' wouldn't be one of them. I really do feel like a very, very different person. Huma and I talk about it all the time, how little we remember of the pre-Jordan time. And the problem with these platitudes is that I think every parent is like, 'Dude, that's being a parent.' "

He said that middle-of-the-night feedings when Jordan was a newborn changed his own rhythms. "I learned to get used to the 3:30 ESPN SportsCenter, so I know all the West Coast scores before any of my friends and there's something about that still of the night, when it's just me and Jordan that's just great. … I learned that I always had a great sense of where I was going and how to get there next but I didn’t have a good sense of just sitting and being and feeling and having a sense of peace."

NOW: It's Over – Again
Weiner said Tuesday the reckless behavior was "something that [Huma and I] had worked through together, something we put behind us and something we wanted to keep behind us. But as I've said, it's in our rearview mirror but it's not far. We still work every day."
Witchy says ... do you expect her to believe that :
This moron isn't going to change, he's done it TWICE now and for whatever reason and I believe Huma has one she's staying with him for now ~ BUT it would be a cold day in hell before I would let a man make a fool out of me TWICE

Royal Baby Name George Alexander A Big Miss

His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge
Prince William and Kate Middleton need to cut loose from tradition -- naming their kid George Alexander is right out of the royal playbook -- which dare we say is getting a little dusty.

We're not saying the royals need to steal a page from Gwyneth Paltrow and name the kid after fruit, but it wouldn't be terrible to give the kid a name that's a little more fun than "George."

No offense, Mr. Clooney.

What's in a name?

If you're the new heir to England's throne – a whole lot!

On Wednesday, when The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced their newborn's name – two days after he was born – the Internet clamored over George Alexander Louis's moniker.
It's time to toast the royal baby properly! On Wednesday, the newborn's name was finally announced — George Alexander Louis.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Talks Mental Health, Michael Douglas' Cancer Diagnosis

Catherine-Zeta Jones opened up about her and her husband Michael Douglas' health in a new interview with The Sunday Telegraph

Catherine Zeta-Jones is not holding back when it comes to confronting her -- and husband Michael Douglas' -- health head-on.

In a candid interview with the Sunday Telegraph, the 43-year-old Oscar-winner reveals that Douglas' battle with throat cancer triggered an imbalance in her mental health that landed her in rehab at least twice since his diagnosis in 2011. She also admitted that becoming a default spokesperson for bipolar disorder was not entirely intentional.

An excerpt from the interview is below:

"[Bipolar] is something I have been dealing with for a long time. When you get sideswiped like that [with Douglas’s illness] it’s an obvious trigger for your balance to be a little bit off – not sleeping, worry, stress. It’s a classic trigger.
I never wanted to be as open about it as I was. I have a British stiff-upper-lip mentality –- it wasn’t something I wanted to shout from the rooftops. But when it did come to light, I know I’m not the only person who suffers with it or has to deal with it on a day-to-day basis. So if I’ve helped anybody by discussing bipolar or depression, that’s great."

According to the publication, the mother of two (to daughter Carys and son Dylan, along with Douglas' son from a previous relationship) became emotional when discussing her husband-of-13-years' strength during his chemotherapy and radiation therapy. She also describes learning about Douglas' diagnosis for the first time:
"When Michael was diagnosed with cancer I really thought, 'You are going to have to wipe me off the floor.' This happens to people all the time, but it’s still a huge shock when the cards start to fall and you realize, 'My God, it really is happening to us' … The human spirit is amazing… Although I wasn’t as strong as I thought I could have been… I wasn’t."That's the way it is folks !!!

The Prince of Cambridge: Here's the First Look!

Kate and William with their son

                                 Hail to the (future) king!
The world got its first glimpse of William and Kate's newborn son Tuesday on the steps of St. Mary's hospital in London. The day-old prince, swaddled in a blanket, already looked to be waving to the crowd.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not reveal the baby's name – preferring to wait, much as William's parents, Charles and Diana, did 31 years ago in delaying the revelation of his name for several days.

"We're still working on a name," William told reporters gathered outside the hospital.

Stepping out of the hospital to cheers, Kate wore a bespoke cornflower blue crepe-de-chine dress by British designer, Jenny Packham, while her husband William wore a matching blue button-down shirt.

Pausing to answer questions from the crowd, William said of his new son, "He's got a good pair of lungs that's for sure, he's a big boy." He added, when the question came up, "Her looks, thankfully."

As for the baby's hair, "He has way more than me, thank God," said his father.

"He's done his first nappy [diaper]," Kate said of the proud dad. She also said the birth "was very emotional. It is such a special time."

It was the first of innumerable photo opps for this most regal infant. And of course it begs the question: Who does he look like?!

In a statement from the Palace, the young couple continued to thank the hospital staff – just as they did earlier that day .

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge will be discharged this evening from St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son will travel home to Kensington Palace. Their Royal Highnesses would like to reiterate their thanks to the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received."

President Obama: Trayvon Martin "Could Have Been Me 35 Years Ago"

President Obama addressed the Trayvon Martin case on Friday, voicing support for the legal process that found George Zimmerman not guilty of murder, but speaking to the frustration and pain felt by African-Americans in a country where race remains a complicated, emotional issue.

WATCH VIDEO BELOW
"Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," Obama told the White House press corps, who had gathered for a media briefing but did not know Obama would appear.

In an often personal speech, the President discussed crime, prejudice, and how black Americans look at the Martin situation "through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away."

Michael Jackson I Didn't Want to Be Moonwalkin' at 50!

Katherine Jackson may have suffered a legal blow over some jokes her son Michael told years before his death -- specifically, that he didn't want to be a crotchety old moonwalker.

We've just gotten our hands on a portion of a transcript from Katherine's deposition in her wrongful death case against AEG Live. Katherine says she was surprised when Michael agreed to do the "This Is It" tour because "he was always making a joke about he don't want to be doing the moonwalk on stage when he's 50 years."

Katherine's video deposition was just played for the jury.

Joke or no joke ... you can bet AEG is going to use this to convince the jury that Michael's shelf life as a performer was limited. Translation, he wouldn't be making a lot of money by doing concerts.

Katherine Jackson Paints Loving Portrait of Michael at Wrongful Death Trial

Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson defended the good heart of her son Friday at the wrongful death lawsuit she and her family brought against the promoters of Michael Jackson's last and ill-fated world tour.

"The most difficult thing is to sit in this court and listen to all the bad things they're saying about my son. A lot of those things are just not the truth," Jackson, 83, told the court before describing her family's meager start and early musical history.

"I know my son was a very good person," she said. "He loved everybody. He was in the Guinness Book of World Records for the entertainer who gave the most to charity."

Anticipation for her testimony was high as fans have turned out at the courthouse over the past few weeks to show her love and support as the mother and grandmother appeared at the public trial on behalf of her late son.

"Michael was always sensitive and loving," Jackson said as a photo of Michael as a toddler was shown to the court. "Yes, he was born that way. Even in my arms, he couldn't keep still. He was dancing to the music."

Katherine has been a determined motherly presence in the Los Angeles courtroom where attorneys for her family claim the tour promotion company, AEG Live, was negligent when it hired Dr. Conrad Murray to supervise the medical care of Michael.

Katherine also spoke about the kind of father Michael was to his children. He wanted be a father "more than anything else," she said. "He was one of the best fathers. You'd be surprised. It just changed his life."

As images of Michael with his children on his lap are shown in the background to his hit "Speechless," a teary-eyed Katherine said that's one of her favorite songs, while fans in the courtroom mouthed the words.

When Katherine was asked if she misses her son, she said, simply, "Words cannot explain."

The singer died in a overdose of the surgical anesthetic propofol in June 2009. Murray is serving a four-year prison term for manslaughter in the case.

AEG has denied wrongdoing and claims Michael is the one who hired Murray and desperately sought the drugs for sleep that eventually killed him.

Already two of Michael's children have testified in the trial. His oldest son, Prince Jackson, 16, painted his father as loving, devoted and playful in emotional testimony in June, which included a family Christmas video clip.

Videotaped testimony of daughter  Paris, 15, who is recovering from a suicide attempt in a residential treatment facility, was also shown to the court.
Witchy wants to know do you expect her to believe that ...Witchy's thoughts on this matter :

If only she could have been this loving when she knew her children were being beaten by her husband and did nothing.

I understand the mother's pain,but think this shouldn't be happening for the children's sake,Michael's gone,the Dr.got sentenced,it was between Michael+his Dr.,enough is enough.

RIP~MICHAEL

Is Pope Francis Influencing Italian Fashion?

Fashionista
Since being appointed as head of the catholic church in March, Pope Francis has been seen as more humble and less ostentatious than previous popes. And so has the fashion coming out of Italy, Suzy Menkes argues in the International Herald Tribune.

She cites Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino as examples of Italian brands whose latest offerings have been more staid than usual. Menkes notes Dolce & Gabbana's religious-themed fall 2013 collection and "a white lace dress that could have served for a first communion" in its window of the brand's store on the Via dei Condotti. Valentino, Menkes points out, showed ankle-length , longsleeved offering for fall 2013.

Also, at last week's AltaModa event, which showcases work from emerging Italian designers, the clothes on display were of the more modest variety.

It is a far cry from the loud, sexy clothes typically associated with Italian fashion–in particular brands like Roberto Cavalli and Versace, whose designs have, for the most part, remained true to their flamboyant DNA.

Still, Fendi co-designer Silvia Venturini Fendi attested to the Pope's influence. "It's a whole new spirit in Rome," she told the Times, "and this is evident when we have a new pope going back to real Christianity, which lately was far from the church."

"People are looking for meaning," she continued, "and the real meaning of fashion is as a tool to express yourself. Sometimes fashion hides your language but we look for meaning in materials and fabrics to allow true personality to come out."

So is it safe to say that humility is in and "look at me" clothes are out in Italy?

Maybe to a certain extent, but the trend isn't specific to Italy. The move towards more understated clothing has been seen in all the fashion capitals for a few seasons now. The same is true of ethical fashion–something else a few of the sources cited in Menkes's story associated with the Pope's influence. "Maybe there is a moment when we want to focus on other things in life and give fashion a different meaning to clothing," Venturini Fendi said. "Women are thinking and dressing more ethically. This pope is what we all needed." It may also be worth noting that both the collections currently in stores and the fall 2013 collections were designed before Pope Francis's appointment.

Of course, the appointment of a new pope was a huge cultural event–it would be odd if it weren't influential in some way. It will be interesting this fall to see if designers are even more restrained with their offerings for spring 2014.

[UPDATE] Rolling Stone It's Irresponsible to Boycott Our Boston Bomber Cover

[UPDATE]
The Boston supermarket chain Roche Bros. is also boycotting the magazine -- a rep tells TMZ, "When Roche Bros. learned of the cover for the current issue of Rolling Stone, we chose not to offer that product for sale in our stores. We join with our customers and neighbors in focusing on the recovery of the victims and our community."

Walgreens and Stop & Shop have also boycotted the magazine.

CVS
apparently believes the First Amendment has limits ... because the pharmacy chain just announced it won't hawk the latest issue of Rolling Stone, featuring Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover.

A rep for CVS says "As a company with deep roots in New England and a strong presence in Boston, we believe this is the right decision out of respect for the victims of the attack and their loved ones."

Rolling Stone It's Irresponsible to Boycott Our Boston Bomber Cover

Bostonians upset by the new Rolling Stone cover -- featuring Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev -- need to grow up and learn from the tragedy that rocked their city ... according to the magazine's editors.

The editors just released a statement, saying their hearts go out to the Boston bombing victims -- but "the cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's longstanding commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage."

The statement continues, "The fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is young, and in the same age group as many of our readers, makes it all the more important for us to examine the complexities of this issue and gain a more complete understanding of how a tragedy like this happens."

In other words, stop burying your heads in the sand, people.

As we reported, CVS and the Boston-based Roche Bros. supermarkets have boycotted the latest issue of the magazine because of its controversial cover ... saying it's disrespectful to the victims.

Whitney Houston : Tombstone Etched with Most Famous Lyrics

When you think of Whitney Houston you think ... "I Will Always Love You" -- and now you always will, because it's engraved on her tombstone.

Whitney's grave at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey was finally given a headstone last week, after sitting vacant since her death in 2012.

The epitaph on the new heart-shaped marker reads: "Whitney E. Houston Aug. 9, 1963 -- Feb. 11 2012 ... THE VOICE ... 'I Will Always Love You'."

Interestingly, while Whitney made "I Will Always Love You" famous in "The Bodyguard" -- it was written, and originally performed, by Dolly Parton.

If you're thinking they should've gone with lyrics from "Greatest Love of All" ... "Saving All My Love for You" ... or "I'm Every Woman" -- yeah, she didn't write those either.

Whitney is buried next to her father ...per her wishes.

Al Sharpton on Zimmerman :We Won't Stop Until Justice Is Served

A battle was lost, but the war's not over ... Al Sharpton says he WILL NOT REST until justice is served for Trayvon Martin's death -- after yesterday's not guilty verdict for the man who pulled the trigger.

Our photog spotted Rev. Sharpton at LaGuardia Airport Sunday -- and asked if he was disappointed that 6 jurors acquitted Zimmerman of all charges. His answer ... a resounding YES.

However, Al says this is not the end ... "We always had a plan B. We now go to the Justice Department seeking civil rights charges." He adds, "We're not gonna stop until we get justice."

FYI -- a similar thing happened in the O.J. Simpson trial regarding the death of Nicole Brown Simpson. O.J. was acquitted of criminal charges, but then sued in civil court for wrongful death -- and ordered to pay $33.5 million to the families of NBS and Ronald Goldman.

Zimmerman could face a similar civil suit OR possibly be tried in federal court if the Justice Department decides to go through with criminal civil rights charges.

Denzel Cheating Scandal

Flight star Denzel Washington has been married for 30 years, but despite a seemingly idillic relationship with his wife, he is now caught up in a cheating scandal as photographs of Denzel apparently with and  kissing another woman are being shopped, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Denzel, 58, and his wife Pauletta, 62, recently did an interview with Ebony magazine giving what was called a “rare portrait” into “one of Hollywood’s longest running couples.” But several photos that have been shopped to various media outlets appear to show Denzel with another woman and kissing her on the lips, in what appears to be a passionate moment.

Those photos are a stark contrast to what his wife Pauletta recently told Ebony.“I live with this man. I see the down part. I see the sad part. I see every part,” Pauletta told the magazine.
“He has and knows he has stability in me as his wife. That’s what gives him strength, regardless if he misuses it. I can’t dwell on that. But I do know that gives him a great platform to go and fly.”

But is Denzel flying with another woman? Four photographs, seen by Radar and shopped to other media outlets, show him sitting on a couch with a young lady, and then throughout the series of pictures he grabs her arm and pulls her in for a kiss on the lips in one. The woman is not identified and Radar was not able to verify the authenticity of the photographs.

In 2003 rumors floated that Denzel was having an affair with his Out of Time co-star, Sanaa Latham, but she denied the allegations. There have been other reports and allegations of infidelity regarding the superstar.
“Denzel has always sweet-talked his way out of it,” an insider told Star magazine in their latest issue, which has details of the new cheating scandal.
“She (his wife) confronted him, and once again he denied he did anything wrong,” the source said of Denzel’s latest situation.

Hmmm! Is he or isn't he ? Denzel fans want to know.

old-school-gossip-Marilyn Monroe Murder Rumors Return

by Catherine St. Ives
Marilyn Monroe‘s death has been long disputed — was it suicide, accidental, or murder? It’s been a few years now, so new "evidence" of Ms. Monroe’s "murder" was bound to surface, because people will never tire of Monroe gossip, or of making money off her in some way. And now we have some "secret tapes" that just resurfaced, with the source claiming, "I listened to Marilyn Monroe die."

I’ve changed my mind over the years, going back and forth from thinking suicide to accident, and then briefly thinking murder because if she swallowed so many pills, how come there wasn’t a glass of water in the room? But that’s a long debate in and of itself, the infamous water glass. (And by the way, if you’re interested in this entire story, you should read The Empty Glass by J.I. Baker.) It’s like her version of Kennedy's "magic bullet". And speaking of the Kennedys…

One of the persistent theories/rumors/stories is that the Kennedys were responsible for Marilyn Monroe’s death, because out of everything they had going on at the time, a movie star was definitely the most important thing and at the top of their list to deal with. Apparently, these recently uncovered tapes are recordings of her being murdered, and by Bobby Kennedy. Detective Fred Otash (now deceased) allegedly bugged her home, and his daughter Colleen says she found these tapes and listened to them. From The Daily Mail via MSN:

Colleen uncovered a stash of tapes in a suburban storage unit owned by her father. There, in his notes, Colleen said her father wrote "I listened to Marilyn Monroe die."

Otash’s notes claim that on that same day, he heard Monroe screaming while having a violent argument with the Kennedys (The Daily Mail does not state which Kennedys, but it is implied that it was John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy). "She’s in the bedroom and Bobby gets the pillow and he muffles her on the bed to keep the neighbors from hearing. She finally quieted down and then he was looking to get out of there," the Mail reports Otash as writing.

So yeah, this basically proves nothing and may not even be real, but who doesn’t love a good old school Hollywood mystery? I’m sure next we’ll find tapes of Natalie Wood drowning, with Christopher Walken in the background saying, "Help…someone…someone help the poor girl. I–I am not. Very good…at swimming, I can’t…the swimming, it’s not…it’s not what I. What I do. Is anyone. Out? There?"

Do YOU think Marilyn Monroe was murdered?
