Introducing Caitlyn Jenner!
Bruce Jenner is no more, as Caitlyn makes her big debut on the July cover of Vanity Fair, sporting retro, white lingerie with the headline "Call Me Caitlyn." Yep, there's no K name here!
"I was probably at the [Olympic] games because I was running away from a lot of things. [I'm] very, very proud of the accomplishments," she says in a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot with Annie Leibovitz. "The last few days of doing this shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium and not about going down the street and everybody giving you a ‘That a boy, Bruce,’ pat on the back. This is about your life."
"Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie, every day he always had a secret, morning till night," she continues. "Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free."
In the video with Leibovitz, Jenner is seen posing in other outfits, including a gorgeous black gown and a sequined dress, finished off with perfect hair and makeup.
The accompanying article describes the final stages of her transition, saying that Caitlyn went through facial-feminization surgery -- which also included breast augmentation. She did not have genital surgery.
