Oregon Gunman Ordered Victims To Reveal Religion

October 2nd 2015

A mass murderer armed with "multiple guns" shot nine dead in a shooting rampage at  Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, ordering students to stand up and state their religion before firing on them. He was specifically targeting Christians.
The suspect,  26-year-old Chris Harper-Mercer, died in an exchange of gunfire with police in Oregon.
Federal agents found six weapons at the college  and seven weapons at the gunman's apartment, all purchased legally. There have been 45 school shootings in the US this year and the year ain't over yet.  It was the 994th gun incident in which there were four or more victims (including the shooter) since the start of 2013, according to the website Mass Shooting Tracker.
The data shows that excluding Thursday’s shootings, there have been 375 deaths and 1,089 injuries from mass killings in 2015 so far. The website began to collect the figures on known incidents just after 20 children were gunned down in December 2012 at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.
Mass shootings occur almost once a day in the US, yet protecting gun rights seems to concern Americans more than increasing controls on guns. The 'right to bear arms'
apparently trumps the 'right to live and go to school' without endangering your life.
