Trump calls for investigation into Hillary Clinton, Russia connection

AOL.COM EDITORS            March 27th 2017
President Donald Trump took aim at the growing controversy over the investigation into his campaign's possible ties to Russia in flurry of tweets sent on Monday night.

"Why isn't the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia[?]" he asked in a message posted to Twitter.

He also cited "Russian speech money to Bill, the Hillary Russian 'reset,' praise of Russia by Hillary, or Podesta Russian Company," as possible further areas of inquiry.

"Trump Russia story is a hoax," he declared."Podesta Russian Company" appears to be a reference to calls from Rep. Louie Gohmert to investigate John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's election campaign chairman, for his ties to Russia. Gohmert has questioned Podesta's 2011 role in an investment fund with ties to the Russia government.

Former President Bill Clinton received $500,000 in 2010 from a Russian finance corporation called Renaissance Capital, one of many detailed in Peter Schweizer's book "Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich."

The latest tweets come after the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, has come under fire for his handling of the investigation into possible ties between Russia and the Trump campaign during the election.

Late Monday, his Democratic counterpart, Rep. Adam Schiff, took the nearly unprecedented step of calling for Nunes to recuse himself from the probe.

Members of the House Intel Committee typically avoid partisan politics, but Nunes raised eyebrows when he shared new details of the investigation -- specifically that Trump associated may have been surveilled -- with the White House and the press before sharing them with his colleagues on the committee.

Nunes revealed on Monday that he reviewed sensitive files while on White House grounds.

The Donald is having another Twitter meltdown....he is using the deflect method again
Kim Jong UN fires off missiles

The Donald fires off tweets  and this is 'WHY.'
Because he has no one there smart enough to tell him the TRUE FACTS of that deal. Deflection is all he knows. Put it on her and hope we forget about him as usual.

The fact is, Clinton was one of nine voting members on the foreign investments committee, which also includes the secretaries of the Treasury, Defense, Homeland Security, Commerce and Energy, the attorney general, and representatives from two White House offices — the United States Trade Representative and the Office of Science and Technology Policy. (Separately, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission needed to approve (and did approve) the transfer of two uranium recovery licenses as part of the sale.)
Treasury Department, Dec. 8, 2008: Only the President has the authority to suspend or prohibit a covered transaction. Pursuant to section 6(c) of Executive Order 11858, CFIUS refers a covered transaction to the President if CFIUS or any member of CFIUS recommends suspension or prohibition of the transaction, or if CFIUS otherwise seeks a Presidential determination on the transaction.

Jose Fernandez, a former assistant secretary of state, represented the department on the committee. He told the Times: “Mrs. Clinton never intervened with me on any C.F.I.U.S. matter.”
That's too much information for the slow mutants to parrot . They can only absorb or repeat short lies filled with spite. Actually Komrad Trump and GOP are on the rotisserie now spinning slowing  , roasting over flames of their demise .
My humble opinion

  1. Too complex to penetrate the mental miasma of the average Trump supporters who appear to be vacant eyed, slack jawed drones, for the most part.
