Elton Johnmight be rocking it with the Royals after all.
Despite earlier doubts , the music star and his partner David Furnish did snag an invitation to the nuptails of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29 .
"We do hav e an invitation . I've b een trying to be discreet ," John tells Canada's CTV.
Comparing Middleton to William's late mother , with whom he was very close , John says she is "Diana in personality .
"She is very discreet , she is a v ery beautiful girl ."
He did mention that he found it "a little odd" that William gave the bride-to-be Diana's engagement ring .
