Maria Shriver is reportedly buying a $10 million home in Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles after filing for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger .
The new residence would not be from where she and Schwarzenegger used to live together .
Shriver deal is still in escrow but almost done according to TMZ.
Shriver and Schwarzenegger separated in May after 25 years of marriage , shortly before it came to light that he'd fathered a child with a member of the household staff.
While the couple's divorce is not finalized , with the massive settlement that's expected it shouldn't be difficult for Shriver to afford the pricey residence .

What I have trouble understanding - while the divorce is not final doesn't the money belong to BOTH? I always thought as long as the divorce is not final all assets are frozen until divided?
