Keith Richards Saves Radio Station From Closure

Keith sure makes a fashion statement doesn't he??
Rocker Keith Richards has saved a small U.K. radio station from shutting down by handing over a $4,800 (£3,000) donation.
Chiefs at Angel Radio, on Britain's Isle of Wight, were frantically trying to raise cash to repair a transmitter, which was struck by lightning in July (11).  The station faced closure, but Richards stepped in to help with a generous donation.

Angel Radio director Bev Webster says, "We thought the cheque was a joke. But accountants confirmed it was the real Keith Richards. I've written to say thanks. It is so exciting to think he might be a fan. "I don’t know if Keith listens to us on the internet, or maybe he tuned in when the Rolling Stones played the Isle of Wight Festival a few years ago, but we couldn’t believe it when we received his cheque in the post."

Nice to see Keith gives a bit back now and then.
