They tried to make Amy Winehouse go to rehab , and finally she said yes .
The "Back to Black" singer checked into the UKs Priory Clinic to deal with her ongoing struggle with alcohol addiction.
A rep for Winehouse said , "She wants to be ready for her performance in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment . She will remain at the Priory Clinic on doctors' advice.
The singer is scheduled to perform a series of shows in Europe beginning June 18.
According to reports , Winehouse stopped by a liquor store on the way to the facility for one last swig of Vodka.
There are those that think Amy is such a talented singer and artist , her fans really wish she could overcome these deep rooted problems and continue creating such great music .
There is so much more we could have heard from her by now , and it would be a total shame to lose her forever.
I have been following her story for some time and its a wonder that she's still alive. Seriously.
