"Macho Man" Randy Savage died today in a car accident .
He was 58.
Savage's brother Lanny Poffo confirms the news saying the pro-wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while driving this morning in Tampa, Fl.
At approximately 9:30 AM , he veered across a contrete median and through traffic before crashing into a tree.
Savage's wife Lynn was in the car too , but survived with minor injuries .
Savage was an enormous presence in the professional wrestling world during the 1980s and 1990s , also gaining recognition as a spokeperson for 'Slim Jim.'
"RIP Randy 'Macho Man'Savage," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson just tweeted . "You were one of my childhood inspirations and heros . Strehgth , love and prayers to the Savage /Poffo family.
Hulk Hogan says news of Savage's death "completedly devastated" him , explaining on twitter that he and his fellow WWF superstar had just begaun to communicate again after 10 years without speaking .
"He had so much life in his eyes and in his spirit , I just pray that he's happy and in a better place and we miss him ," tweets Hogan.
