William and Mary Bretherton of Benton were arrested Friday after surrendering to police on a warrant charging each with one count each of possession of a Schudle I Controlled Dangerous Substance (synthetic marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia .
Police responded to a 911 hang-up call April 28 from the Brethertons' room at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City , where authorities reportedly found suspected synthethic marijuana and a divice commonly used to smoke narcotics , Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale said .
The substance was seized by police and confirmed by the Northwest Louisiana Crime Lab to be synthetic marijuana , Natale said . Arrest warrants then was issued for the Brethertons' arrests .
Both bonded out of Bossier City Jail later that same day . Bond for each was $6,000 ... $5,000 on the possession charges , $1,000 on the drug paraphernalia charge .
Bertherton is star of the A&E Network reality show 'Billy the Exterminator ,' which follows his professional life as an expert in the field of pest control and as proprietor of Vexcon Animal and Pest Control in Benton , Louisiana .
Mary and Billy were contacted by police about the warrants and the two turned themselves in June 1st . The bonded out the same day .
So far , no court date's been set . Calls to the Brethertons' was not returned .
