It is unclear what charges Zimmerman , 30 , is facing , the Orlando Sentinel reports . The arrest occured shortly after a domestic disturbance dispute involving Zimmerman's girlfriend in Apopka law enforcement officials told WESH2.
TMZ reports that the girlfriend is pregnant .
Zimmerman was taken to the Seminole County Jail , a sheriff's spokeman told USA Today . His first court appearance is schedule for Tuesday .
Officials announced Thursday that Zimmerman would not face any charges in a September altercation with his estranged wife , Shellie Zimmerman . Lake Mary Police said they "could not salvage" the video that allegedly showed footage of the dispute.
In July , a jury found George Zimmerman not quilty of second degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin .
I understand how they found him not guilty of 2nd degree murder as it is extremely hard to prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt when there is no witness but I do believe he was quilty of manslaughter and that is what the prosecution should have charged Zimmerman with . This man is a violent man and belongs either behind bars or in a mental health institute .
Its's obvious to everyone that Zimmerman has mental issues . Everyone except his family and the law .
Most of us live our lives without ever having to face severe consequences for our behavior . We have self control , manageable egos and respect for others and the rule of law .
Zimmerman's life has been set up , by his own choices , to have to face sets of severe consequences for his behavior . There is no doubt that he loves getting away with things because he is always in a position that requires a story , an alibi , an excuse and lawyers .
This is the life he made for himself . Sooner or later an incident will come alng that he will not be able to get away with , but for now his ego will not let him see that reality because he has placed himself above the law .
