Lauren Bacall Dead -- Dies at 89

Lauren Bacall -- one of the leading ladies of the Golden Age of Hollywood -- is dead ... TMZ has learned.

A family member tells us Bacall had a massive stroke Tuesday morning at her home.

Bacall -- who famously starred with and married Humphrey Bogart -- starred in a slew of movies, including "The Mirror Has Two Faces," "How to Marry a Millionaire" and "Designing Woman."

One of Bacall's biggest movies was with Bogart -- "Key Largo" in 1948.

She married Bogart in 1945 and they were together until his death in 1957.

Bacall married Jason Robards in 1961. They divorced in 1969.

Bacall had 3 children.

Lauren recently appeared on an episode of "Family Guy" ... as a friend of Peter's mom, named Evelyn.

Such a classy lady. So sad. Condolence to the family ...

  1. She really was an old time glamorous movie star. I believe it was Lauren who had a long standing affair with Frank Sinatra and there was talk of marriage...Unless I am remembering the wrong lady.
    We feel sad when an actor dies because they are so familiar to us, we feel we know them. I am convinced these things come in threes. I wonder who is next.

  2. It was Frank Sinatra , they would have made a nice couple .
    We feel sad because there is not many actors of their statue . I love the old love story movies ... boy ... they could heat up a screen without taking their clothes off ... it just made you so warm and fuzzy Hahahaha !!!

    I saw on the web they come in three's and they are hoping it's not Betty White ... but I can think of a lot of them that is loved by many .
