Jay Leno is going to have to get used to being on the other side of the desk when he returns to the Tonight Show.

According to the Associated Press, Leno will be appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as a guest on Friday. This will be Leno’s first time returning to the Tonight Show as a guest since he signed off in February after more than 22 years as host, save for a brief interlude as host of prime time’s The Jay Leno Show from 2009 to 2010. Leno previously appeared on one of Fallon’s skits, “House of Cue Cards.”
Leno will not be straying far from NBC, as he will starring in a new CNBC show, Jay Leno’s Garage, which will delve into Leno’s famous love of cars and is set to premiere in 2015. Leno was also recently awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor last month. Fallon was among the many comedians who celebrated and roasted Leno for his achievement.
