Princess Kate Shows Off Her Royal Baby Bump

Pregnant Princess Kate was all smiles – and proudly displaying a proper four-month bump – as she welcomed one of her favorite charities to Kensington Palace Wednesday.

Kate, 32, in a peplum top by Hobbs and skirt by one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham, was at the inaugural Wellbeing in Schools Awards evening run by Place2Be.

And she didn't have far to go. The event was being held in the state apartments of the palace, which are a short walk from her official London residence, Apartment 1a at the palace complex.

She arrived shortly before 6:30 p.m. and met Place2Be chief executive Benita Refson. After the reception, a ceremony was held in the King's Gallery where Kate presented the Child Champion Award to a young person who has overcome their own struggles and gone on to help others.
"This is a wonderful, exciting opportunity to honor our young people and schools in such a wonderful setting," Refson told reporters. "The Duchess' total and utter belief in what we do and her commitment to children's mental health is incredible."

After suffering from severe pregnancy sickness in her first trimester, Kate has returned to public life over the past few weeks, including making a star turn at the Royal Variety Awards on Nov. 13.

She and Prince William are busy preparing for their upcoming visit to the U.S.

Before their December trip, though, they have a number of royal outings planned, including a visit to Norfolk to launch a fundraising effort to build a new children's hospice run by another of her charities, East Anglia Children's Hospices
