It’s official: Jennifer Lopez is leaving "American Idol."
One day after Steven Tyler announced his departure , J. Lo did the same, tearfully telling the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest, of her decision in a phone call to his radio show on Friday.
Lopez has been a judge on "American Idol" for the past two seasons.
A number of high-profile posssible replacements, including Mariah Carey, have been discussed.
