Randy Jackson is speaking out after his fellow "American Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced they will not be returning to the show next year.
"Steven and Jennifer are truly two of the most talented and consummate professionals I’ve worked with," Jackson tells Gossip Cop in a statement.
He continues, "I was friends with them before we hopped on this crazy journey together and I have no doubt our friendships will continue long after."
"I will love them for life," he adds.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Tyler revealed on Thursday that he is leaving "Idol" to focus on Aerosmith, while Lopez confirmed her long-rumored exit during a call-in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show early Friday.
It remains to seen whether Jackson, who has been with the show since its first season, will also quit the show or be replaced .
