The details surrounding Sage Stallone's untimely death continue to be unclear as his lawyer's stories don't match up with what law enforcement sources have reportedly told TMZ.
On Saturday, the 36-year-old's lawyer George Braunstein denied reports that his deceased client had been dead for at least three days before he was found in his Studio City home on July 13 .
Braunstein told People magazine that Sage posted photos of himself to his Facebook page just 17 hours before his body was discovered.
The attorney denies claims from TMZs sources that no one had heard from Sage in an entire week , and also tried to shut down reports from the website's "law enforcement sources" who say there were multiple pill bottles in his room, as well as empty beer cans.
"Sage didn't even drink," Braunstein told People. "There was a report that his room was filled with liquor bottles. Actually, they were empty bottles of Dr. Brown's Cream Soda."
Braunstein's claims directly contradict all of TMZ's reports that claim Sage "lived like Howard Hughes" and that there were obvious signs that he wasn't well.
"There has been no indication that there was anything wrong in his life," Braunstein told the magazine, adding that Sage and his business partner Bob Murawsky recently signed a new contract acquiring a new film for their production company. Braunstein says Sage had plans to marry his longtime girlfriend in Las Vegas this past weekend.
An autopsy was performed on the body on July 15; however the official cause of death has not yet been determined and it could take up to four weeks for the results to be released. On Friday, an LA County coroner's official told the Los Angeles Times that some prescription drugs and other items were recovered, but that officials can't say if they played any role in his death.
Sources say law enforcement believes Sage's death was an accident; however the case is now in the hands of the LAPD Robbery Homicide department, which handles high-profile cases. According to TMZ, police still don't believe there was any foul play.
Sage's father, Sylvester Stallone, 66, is said to be "devastated and grief-stricken" by his son's death and realeased a statement on Monday asking for Privacy at this time .
"This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
