Kirstie Alley has never been one to mince words.
In her recent interview with Barbara Walters, the actress shares a shocking admission: her former "Look Who's Talking" co-star and long-time friend John Travolta is the "greatest love" of her life.
Alley, who's currently competing on "Dancing With The Stars ," admits that she fell hard for the star during the filming of the 1989 movie "Look Who's Talking," but she resisted the erge because she was married at the time to actor Parker Stevenson. "Believe me, it took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John. And be with John for the rest of my life," she says.
When Walters asks why she didn't leave her former husband, Alley adds, "Because I feel like when you marry someone you're supposed to work hard at it, and you're supposed to make it work."
Both stars went on to pursue other relationships. Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991. The couple had three children, Including Jett who died in 2009 .
Over the years, Alley and Travolta have remained extremely close thanks in part to their mutual beliefs in Scientology .
