Indy car driver , Dan Wheldon , who was part of a massive 15 car crash on Sunday at Las Vegas Indy 300 , has died .
Wheldon's car flew over another vehicle in Lap 13 pile-up , which left cars shedded and in flames across the racetrack.
This year's Indianapolis 500 winner , Wheldon was transported by helicopter to a local hosiptal , where he was later pronounced dead.
Wheldon was 33.
Ashley Judd , married to Dario Franchitti , who won the race , thanked her twitter follows for thier prayers on behalf of Wheldon .
