My dear sweet lady,
ReplyDeleteI see you are in fine form today, just the way I like my ladies.
Tell your African friend thanks , but no thanks. My arthritis is doing quite well without the ant stings. Also tell him the only time I want to be naked is taking a shower or crawling in bed with a beautiful dark haired brunette lady, tell him he should try it sometime.
Tell your African friend I will also pass on the desert his or mine. There are too many bodies and other things in the desert.
I can't take the bee stings, I am allergic to bee stings.
The meeting is next Monday and I will be on my best behavior, you see I don't know what my son is up too after I gave him power of attorney.(I am just a bad boy and enjoying every minute of it).
Cleopatra was Queen of Egypt if my mind don't fail me, it is said she was alluring but not beautiful and was also very ambitious.
End of part 1.

My dear sweet lady.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a very intriquing family as all people from the south and she is very proud of her ancestry. My son is making my daughter family tree on both side (father and mother) her father family is very colorful then and now, his grandfather was a sea captain from England very well off with a family there(England). It is a very fascinating story , my son is also putting it in book form for her family, that is one reason he wants more time to spend on things he wants to do,my son is writing a book about a fictional family base on my daughter family and their lives.
End of part 2.

Dear G
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to write a book about Nee's family. It is better done as fiction but based upon a true story. That is exactly how I saw your story.
Gil is a kindred soul;we both love to write.
Nee and I have compared backgrounds and have a couple of things in common. My grandfather was also a sea captain from England. He captained for a big trading company and also owned a couple of merchant ships himself. He was wealthy and had businesses ashore too.
My grandmother hated him. It was an arranged marriage. When she was a young debutante of sixteen she was literally sold to the highest bidder. She was in love with a young man and had planned to run away with him but she did not get the chance. So her purpose in life was to destroy my grandfather and she came pretty close. When he was away at sea she would close his stores and take all the cash and spend it gambling and partying. She brought him close to bankruptcy and then the war finished him off. Everything was bombed including their home. I always felt there was a good story there too. They do say it is better to write about what you know.
My African friend is from Egypt. My husband spent a few years there and in Jordan When he was in the British army.
Cleopatra was very sensual and also very intelligent in a down to earth sort of way. She knew a great deal about herbs, potions, medicines and poisons and used her knowledge to her advantage. She was so obsessed with becoming Caesar's consort she had herself rolled in a carpet and delivered to him personally.
It is a great pity that you can't videotape that meeting. Use some of your surveillance equipment hidden in a plant pot or something. I am sure you would all watch it again with great glee.It might also be useful in some way.
Fini
I hear you were charmingly costumed as an old woman, wig and all. Now that is a Kodak moment and I hope someone captured it.
ReplyDeleteYou have to admit 'trick or treating' with the kids is fun. I sure love it and the people in my daughter's town go all out on Halloween. They have amazing spooky decorations, eerie music, haunted houses and the guy down the street digs a grave in the middle of his lawn with a headstone and he lays in it and sits up when kids go up his pathway.More than one kid has had to go home and change his underwear. Some of the mothers too.
It's good to share your candy or you won't be allowed out next year.
I wondered if that lake where Nee used to live is good for fishing and if it is, do you go there to fish? If you are sticking to your heart diet you are eating a lot of fish. I have two people on strict heart diets here and Nana is also on a kidney diet because her kidneys are in failure. That doesn't leave the poor old girl much that she can eat so she eats a lot of seafood. Brian was a red meat man and boy,has he had to change his lifestyle.
Brian's prostate cancer has spread and so he has to start radiation treatments next week. I know it requires six to eight weeks of treatment but I'm not sure if there are any side effects which will make him feel poorly. Other than that we're not too worried.
It seems in life, you just get through one thing and it throws you another curve. Maybe it's to test us or make us stronger.
We manage okay; we've found that a good sense of humor can get you through almost anything. You can't see it but I am sitting here laughing my head off.
Till next time (we really should stop meeting this way) Your cyber pal and unrequited love...Genie
