Patty Duke :Once Troubled Teen Star Sticks Up For Lohan And Lovato

With online , TV and print reporters in full pursuit of details surrounding Demi Lovato's breakdown and trip to rehap , former teen star Patty Duke  would like  to urge  restraint ."Be quiet and let the girl figure it out.

"These are people , these young girls ," Patty tells Popeater . "Some of them can build a shield  against the negative media , but most of them can't ... and it hurts."

As for what Lovato and other troubled  young personalities , including Lindsay Lohan , are going through now. "I really relate to it  completely. What I don't relate to is when help is offered and they don't take it. "That's what make me crazy," says Duke .  The part of me that understands psychology and psychiatry tells me . "No, They're not at their bottom yet , It may be my bottom , but not theirs."

Patty Duke knows of what she speaks , of course . Back in the 60s , it was she who was America's Sweetheat , the beloved , Oscar-winning child actress (for Miracle Worker) who became the jaunty teen star of her own hugely  popular TV show ...who then grew up and melted down before the  public's eyes.

My take :  For once we are  hearing from someone who had the same problems as Lohan and Lovato  and not looking for 15 minutes  in the spotlight....thanks Patty.

  2. My dear sweet lady,
It was not a surprise , the court consider Jonny to be abandon ,his father in prison and his mother asked my daughter if we would take him in. Jonny was his best witness when the judge talked to him, he told the judge how he would be along and slept on a pallet on the floor and sometimes there was no food until the next day, his sisters always gave him food and my daughter would give him hugs, I bought him a bike, I had tears in my eyes. The psychiatrist was the one that helped the most
My brothers realize what a mistake they made , I have forgiven my brothers and wish them the best , maybe they will try to make amends but it is to late . I have burnt those bridges.
My dear lady, I would not recommed going into the gaming business , you have to be ruthless , tough , but also fair at the same time , you cannot second guess yourself no matter the consequence. The wine business was for my dear Rhonda , I only put up the money.
My brothers never understood where my dear Rhonda fitted into my life.It was not their business, my son was happy and told me it was my life and he loved and would stand by any decisions I made.
Yes there is really a hot springs , that is where Arkansas got the towns' name.
    On to part 2

  3. My dear sweet lady,
The nice thing about the CC guys is they will oversee everything , interesting people . My dear lady all I have to do is look out the window or step outside, they are all interesting and educated.Nanette husband and Chris own a franchise real estate company, the ones that is not retired is in education, except Nanette and Joanna.
My Jill is my sons' child , yes she is smart as a whip , the school wanted my son to have her IQ tested , he said no, he wanted her to be a normal little girl and be happy, he learned that from my dear Rosa. My Jill says she will be a lawyer like her daddy . My Jill has an analytical like her dad.I am just proud my son has a high IQ like his dear mother.
Anita is a jewel, my son can call her tell her he will not be in and she take care of things. I will have to tell you is another letter how my son and Anita got together. His lady friends did not like Anita because she controlled my son business , he never played around with married women , he says he do not like sneaking around.
I have not finish my letter, will have to got to another post , be back and tell you which one.

  5. Dear Hunky, Thankyou for the nice long letter. It was so full of news. I bet the whole roomful of people had tears in their eyes when Jonny told his story. What a bleak and lonely life he led and just imagine how it would have continued if your son and daughter had not intervened and rescued him.

Nee asked me once what I thought Gilly would do when he grew up. I think I said, off the top of my head, that he would own restaurants and also breed and race horses. He would be a ladies' man and be married twice and have a couple of mistresses. He would have four children. Honestly, I don't think I'm even in the ball park. But I do think he got his mother's personality. He will throw himself wholeheartedly into everything he does.

Sha sounds like a very girly girl but from what I heard happened at school the other day, she isn't afraid of a fight. And they all love to read. that is a wonderful thing. I hope Jonny is enjoying his new books.

I believe you when you say one has to be ruthless to enter the gaming business. I don't meet too many ruthless young people today. Many of them seem to have an attitude of entitlemnt. They feel they are entitled to whatever they want without putting in the hard work to earn it. I think it's a result of our spoiling them and giving them too much and not instilling a good work ethic into them.

Your brothers had no right to judge Rhonda on any level and certainly not to question your decisions regarding her. I'm sure you never told them how to conduct their private lives. I know she was a comfort to you at a very rough time in your life.

I guess Anita knew all the lady friends and kept his rendezvous sorted out for him so he wouldn't get them mixed up...HA! Anita knows a lot of things that Nee wolud like to ferret out of her but Anita stays silent as a tomb; that's loyalty.
