Mel Gibson's Divorce : He Could Pay For His Screw-ups

Mel Gibson'a lawyers say they're submitted a settlement offer to estranged wife Robyn , and they are "optimistic" they will reach a settlement next month . But there's a big unresolved  issue  --  Mel's 2006 anti-Semtic rant and his 2010 tirade against blacks, women and others have ruined one of the biggest assets in the marriage.

It sounds strange , but the "good will" of a famous person is considered an asset in the marriage -- something that has commerical value . In the past Mel had a lot of "good will" that translated into being able to make movies that people would have to pay to see.

But after Mel's 2006 and 2010 rants , the "good will" has evaporated if not disappeared . As a result ... the asset has been greatly devalued .

It's said one of the issues is whether Mel should have to pay  Robyn for squandering his "good will."

The same principles applies to paying spousal support . Mel has an argument that he's not really making much money anymore so he shouldn't have to pay support . But there's a counter --  argument ... Robyn should  not suffer because Mel screwed up. 

My spin : Another douche bag cheater....and this one is a bigot  as well and it's about time he pay his dues...take him to the cleaners Robyn.

Oprah Winfrey Scores Big Sit Down With Oksana

We may have a winner in the battle to score the first  TV interview with Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend , Oksana Grogroieva , and it shouldn't come as a suprise : Oprah Winfrey , according to US Magazine.con source the deal is done , how ever Winfrey's production  company , 'Harpo' has held off on making an announcement.

According , to an earlier report by RadarOline.com , Oprah was duking it out with 60 Minutes for the opportunity to speak with Grigorieva  about her tabloid- ready relationship with Gibson.

If/when she sits down with the departing daytime Queen , Grigorieva is expected to talk about allegations the 'Braveheart' star  physically and verballt abused her during their brief , but baby  producing , relationship.

Oprah would also be remiss to not address charges Grigorieva  tried to extort Gibson , the father of her daughter , Lucia.

In July , Gibson, 54, came under fire when a series of audio tapes of him screaming at Oksana surfaced.  Grigorieva has since been  accused  of using the audio rants to attempt to extort more than $10 million from him.

My spin : Well...Oksana is going to air  their dirty linen ...hope she is truthful and believable , it's hard to fool us any more... now we are waiting on the audio tapes of the hooker that  Mel was involved with when Robyn left him before the Oksana mess. Katy Perry Jumps From Sesame Street To Guest Star On "Simpsons"

Less than a week after Katy Perry duet with Elmo was cut from an episode of  'Sesame Street' news breaks that she has her next big TV gig already lined up. Perry is set to appear as herself in a puppet version of the Simpsons , "cleavage" and all.

According to Entertainment Weekly , Katy will appear  in a live action segment during the holiday epsiode title 'The  39 Days of Christmas.' This espiode will actually be an all puppet version  and Katy will be playing barender Moe's girlfriend . Perry won't be the only celebrity gracing the epsiode ; Martha Stewart also pops in , but in cartoon form.

Perry's cover of her own 'Hot and Cold' was cut from 'Sesame  Street' after PBS received a wave of protest over the slightly - revealing dress . 'Sesame Street'  excutive producer  Carol-Lynn said , parents gave some more clarification around the decision to edit out Perry last week.

"We would never produce anything that we thought was inappropriate . she said."We were surprised at the amount of feedback - it was a lot  - we viewed a lot of  the feedback and made what we felt was an appropriate  decision."

Perry didn't appear insulted , have a great time with the mini-stir during a hilarious turn on  'Saturday Night Live' in a revealing Elmo shirt.

My spin : Do these People ever watch daytime TV ???  The soap operas really have a lot of bed-hopping and relly sows some skin...both men and women. Tell me what's up with that ???

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy Lost the Fun

The former couple went their separate ways in April this year - almost five years after they started dating - and the blonde beauty admits the pair analyzed their feelings for a long time before ending their romance.

Asked by US TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey when she knew it was over, Jenny said: " The first thing is, when it's not fun anymore, you need to start investigating, do an inquiry into the relationship."
The 37-year-old star - who has an eight-year-old son Evan with ex-husband John Asher - also insisted she had never even considered a reconciliation with the 48-year-old actor.
When Oprah questioned her about a possible reunion, she replied: "God, another good question. I didn't even think about that one."
Jenny recently admitted she is enjoying being single and feels more "peaceful" since moving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
She said: "I'm enjoying the single life tremendously!

How it all Started For Jenny

JENNY MCCARTHY is still stunned by how quickly she became a Playboy Playmate - an hour after showing up unannounced for a talent shoot.
The model/actress plucked up the courage to visit the publication's Chicago, Illinois headquarters after the cruel boss of a city modelling agency called her in to tell her she'd never make it in the business.
Devastated, MCCarthy ran across the road and into the Playboy building because she simply couldn't bear to return to the Polish grocery store where she had her day job. And that's where the magic started.

"I see them talk to the make-up artist and the make-up artist comes walking over and she goes, 'They said they'd never seen anyone as hairy as you in their entire lives.'
"I said, 'Well, I'm half Polish!'"( what does that even mean?) 
The star was further shocked when the photographer and his assistant came closer and started staring at her genitalia: "He (photographer) goes, 'I say we just light the heck out of it... it's like roadkill.'"
The rest is history. She became a model, an actress and a very popular Playboy Pin-up.

O.J.'s Acquittal Suit : Killer Work Of Art

O.J. Simpson's lucky suit  --  the one he was wearing  when 12 jurors gave him a free pass for butchering two people -- is now becoming a spectacle of it's own -- as a museum exhibit.

Starting Friday . the Custom-tailored $2,000 Ermenegildo Zegna suit and a  audio "kill switch" Judge Ito used during the trial are being showcased at the  'Newseum' in DC to mark the 15th anniversary of the innocent verdict.

It was generous of noted killer O.J. Simpson to donate his "acquitted suit" to the Smithsonian Institution , but  officials there told TMZ , "it is  highly unlikely we will acccept it.

Amy Winehouse wants to settle down with a "builder or painter or maybe a decorator" and have children.

The 'Back To Black' singer has been unlucky in love  -- recently splitting with film director  Reg Troviss ,33 , amid reports he was still romancing his former lover and having a complicated relational  with ex-husband  and former drug-addict Klake Fielder Civil -- and friends say she is now getting broody and wants to meet someone normal."

A source told the Daily Star newspaper , "She never  throught that she'd be single at 27 , and now she fust really want to find a normal guy to settle down  and have a baby."

"She'd be more than happy to go out with someone away from the limelights -- she is just fed up with being alone . She'd date a builder or painter or even a decorator , someone who's kind and funny."

Drew was soon back to his old habits, and heavier than ever. The actor revealed he was finally inspired to take his life back when he "couldn't keep up with" his fiancee's 5-year-old son, Connor.
"I'd be like, 'Connor, I can't,' and he'd say, 'C'mon, Dad!' That was a terrible feeling," Drew told the mag. "I thought, I'm never going to see him graduate high school."

The former star of "The Drew Carey Show" set a goal for himself last November: to drop 92 pounds by Oct. 31 of this year. By "working out and eating right," Drew has nearly reached his goal, currently weighing in at a svelte 185 pounds. He also completed a 10k run in August - his first in over two decades.
"Connor doesn't make fun of Dad's belly anymore," he says with pride. "I look in the mirror and I feel like I'm in my 20s again. I feel like I have my whole life back."

When the first trailer for the film arrived at the beginning of the year, many fans felt disappointed in it as it did not seem to promise the brilliant ride they’d been expecting for over two decades. Appearances can be deceiving,  as the sequel more than lives up to the hype, while also managing the almost unthinkable feat of bringing something new to the table. The world portrayed in “Money Never Sleeps” is no longer exotic, but cynic and dark. Gordon Gekko fits just perfectly in it.

Stone returns to this world in ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,’ but there’s nothing exotic about it anymore. It’s featured on the nightly news in every unemployment statistic and freshly announced corporate downsizing. The bank bailout debate still rages, and arrogant banking kingpins looks less like anti-heroes than out-and-out villains. So Stone and his savvy writers, Allan Loeb and Stephen Schiff, have crafted a tale that takes advantage of viewer’s newfound knowledge and cynicism. At its heart is a pair of good young people wanting to put money into green energy while all around them there revolves, like an evil planetary system, gravitational forces that know only unregulated (in every sense of the word) chicanery.

LIndsay Gets Bail....Not Such a Good Idea

 Troubled US starlet Lindsay Lohan has bailed out of jail where she spent only about 15 hours for failing another court-ordered drug test, the Los Angeles county sheriff's office said Saturday. The 24-year-old was led from a court in handcuffs Friday morning -- the third time in as many years -- after Judge Elden Fox of the Beverly Hills Superior Court found evidence Lohan was guilty of substance abuse. Fox denied bail to Lohan after she tested positive for cocaine in a court-ordered test, but this decision was later reversed by Judge Fox's superior who set bail at 300,000 dollars.

After the bail was posted Lohan was released at 11:40 pm Friday from the Century Regional Detention Facility in the Lynwood suburb of Los. She is due back in court on October 22 to determine whether she violated her probation from an earlier sentence by testing positive for drugs. Lohan must also wear an ankle bracelet that will monitor her blood alcohol content.

Lohan was sentenced on July 6 to serve 90 days in jail and another 90 days in rehab for violating her probation in a drunk-driving case. But due to jail overcrowding, she served just 13 days before being freed to the detox facility. In 2007 she spent just 84 minutes in jail after police arrested her twice for cocaine possession while driving -- in one instance crashing her Mercedes-Benz into a tree. Last week she admitted having failed a drugs test after the celebrity website TMZ and People Magazine said she had tested positive for cocaine use, prompting judge Fox to summon her back for Friday's court hearing.

A queen of Hollywood nights and a favorite target of the paparazzi, the former Disney child star was once considered one of the most promising actresses of her generation. But Lohan's career has dipped many times since 2005 amid legal woes, stops in rehab and cinematic flops. In 2008 the "Parent Trap" star received two Razzie Awards, the satirical prizes presented to Hollywood's worst acting performances.

In a Twitter post admitting the failed drugs test last week, Lohan said she was a "work in progress."
"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences.... Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away overnight," she said.
"I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future."

LIndsay Lohan Returns to Jail ...Handcuffed....No Bail

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Lindsay Lohan returned to jail in handcuffs Friday after a judge refused to set bail and ordered her to remain in custody for failing a drug test until another hearing nearly a month away.
Bailiffs escorted the troubled starlet from the Beverly Hills courtroom immediately after the hearing that lasted less than 10 minutes. She arrived at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood a short time later, with sheets held up around her to shield her from sight.

It will be Lohan's third jail stint for a 3-year-old drug and drunken driving case filed after a pair of high-profile arrests in 2007. Before the hearing, the "Mean Girls" star chatted with her attorney, smiling and laughing. But moments before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox took the bench, she began fidgeting with her earrings and looking to the back of the courtroom, where were two bondsmen sat, prepared to post the actress' bail.

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, asked Fox whether Lohan's full probation revocation hearing could be delayed a week.
"I think your client would rather have it on Oct. 22," Fox said, giving the first hint that he intended to send the actress to jail.
Holley rose to argue that bail should be set. "Nope," Fox replied.
"Oh God," Michael Lohan said as bailiffs moved in and his daughter rose and was handcuffed.

Lohan has twice been released early because of overcrowding, with her longest jail stay a 14-day stint on a 90-day sentence earlier this summer. But this time, the judge's order diminishes the likelihood that Lohan will be released before the Oct. 22 hearing, when her positive drug test will be discussed.

Michael Douglas : Ex Wants His 'Wall Street' Paycheck

Despite being diagnosed with throat cancer , Michael Douglas refuses to delay his court battle with ex-wife  Diandra Douglas  over her claim that she's entitled to half his earnings  from the upcoming  'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' which opens September 24.  Diandra had offered to postpone the hearing, but Michael declined  -- he wants to get this over with as soon as possible ,  "a source told Page Six. Lawyers representing the actor and his ex tangled in a New York court.

The suit appeas to hinge on a clause in Michael and Diandra's divorce  settlement that entitles her to 50 percent of any earnings Michael receives from any movies  he did -- including residuals , merchandising and  ancillary rights -- during their 23-year marriage . According to Diandra's lawyers , that provision includes any "spinoffs" of Douglas movies.

Michael's lawyer, Marilyn B. Chinitz , says his ex is misinterperting the agreement , and it doesn't apply to the 'Wall Street' sequel because it wasn't  on the horizon when the two split , and he couldn't have guaranteed that he'd be in a sequal  if one was ever made.

Since their divorce , Diandra has made $6.3 million from her stake in residual proceeds fron other past projects , Chinitz said.

Michael and Diandra divorce remains one of the costiest in Hollywood histoey. The pair's split was bitter , to say the least, with Diandra accusing Michael of sex and alcohol addiction and multiple infidelities. In 2007, Forbes magazine complied a list of the 10 most expensive celebrity divorces and listed the Douglases at number eight. Diandra walked away with an estimated $45 million and the couple's homes in Beverly Hills and Majorca.

Michael and Diandra recently came together  to support their son , Cameron , who was sentenced to five (5) years in prison for his role in dealing methamphetamine and cocaine  in New York City. 

Michael has cancelled his promotional appearances for 'Wall Street: Money Never sleeps' while he undergoes radiation and chemotherapy for eight weeks to destroy the throat tumer.

Just asking : When does it stop ?   It's time for Ms. Douglas to move on and let Michael move on and enjoy his life , without having to concern himself with someone  hangin on the past . We all know the man was a whore and a sex addict  but he seems to have turned his life around for the better...just saying...Diandra  wou will make a lot od Michael fans dislike you if you don't give this a rest.........at least until he's finish his treatments .....Michael needs peace of mind and no worries while he battling for his life  and also he has two (2) small children to live for and raise.

Sesame Street Yanks Controversial Katy Perry Duet With Elmo

A two-and-a-half minute video of pop star Katy Perry singing a reworked version of her 2008 hit "Hot N Cold" with Elmo is causing a public outcry. The issue: the perception that Perry's outfit wasn't appropriate for a show geared toward children ages one to six.

After the clip hit YouTube Monday, Gawker ran a story that called attention to the video and Katy's look. Parents checking out the video began leaving critical comments like, "Couldn't she wear something that was more, 'oh idk', APPROPRIATE" and "I DO NOT want my five year old lookin at [that]!" But, as TMZ notes, Perry wasn't actually half-naked -- her outfit featured a flesh-colored mesh top that went all the way up to her neck, like a figure-skating costume.

Sesame Workshop, the company that produces the show, responded to the controversy this morning by announcing that producers have decided to pull the song from the broadcast version of the program. The clip will remain online at KatyPerry.com, however, so the singer's more mature fans can watch it. "'Sesame Street' has always been written on two levels, for the child and adult," reads a statement from the show. "We use parodies and celebrity segments to interest adults in the show because we know that a child learns best when co-viewing with a parent or caregiver. We also value our viewers' opinions and particularly those of parents. In light of the feedback we've received on the Katy Perry music video, which was released on YouTube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of 'Sesame Street,' which is aimed at preschoolers."

The original version of "Hot N Cold" depicts a less kid-friendly on-and-off romance, and includes words that wouldn't end up on network televsion, let alone a children's show. Perry cleaned up the song for "Sesame Street," singing instead about wanting to play dress-up with Elmo, who has decided to run off and play tag instead. As the singer chases the beloved puppet around a cartoon city, she sings, "You're up and you're down/You're running around/You're fast then you're slow/you stop then you go."

Perry tweeted about her visit to one of the world's most famous neighborhoods a day ago, writing: "I can totally tell you how to get to Sesame Street! I've been, Elmo and I hang out." When she taped the show back in March, Perry sent a Twitpic of herself, arm around the fuzzy red puppet, with the caption: "Sunny day today! I think I'm in lurv... Sorry @rustyrockets!!!" (Rustyrockets refers, of course, to her fiance, Russell Brand.)

Do you think it is inappropriate?? Watch it and see. Speaking for myself, I feel it's perfectly appropriate. The kids will see racier costumes on their own street. Nothing in that video will harm a child. 'Much ado about nothing'.

Balthazar Getty and his wife, Rosetta , separated in 2008 after the actor's highly photographed affair  with Sienna Miller  --  but now the parents of four (4) are giving their ten (10) year marriage another shot.

"Here's the bottom line :  It was a very challenging time for everybody involved ," Getty,35, told Harper's Bazaar.

"But I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work, --  Rosetta is understanding enough and spiritual enough to let us try. In a way It -- I don't know -- I feel like we're better than  we've ever been," he said.

Rosetta, 40, also gave her  thoughts on what happened . "I 'm open to talking about it because I believe we go through things in a public way to help other people  get through it . I'd love to talk about it more with people when I'm clearer about it  ," she continued.

"I'm going to have to explain this to my daughters one day. I chose not to act from ego because I just felt like it would be too crushing for my children," Rosetta continued.

"You could do two things in life when an  obstacle comes your way. You can tackle it , or you can  allow it to break you down,"  the 'Brothers and Sisters' star said.

Getty and  Sienna Miller were caught vacationing in Italy by the paparazzi in 2008 , resulting  in his separation from  Rosetta . Balthazar and Sienna Miller's relationship lasted until May 2009.

My spin :  Rosetta sounds like a wise woman  ....but  a word if I may --  my ex-husband cheated on me  , it was not a situation that I could save nor did I want to . I do know life is not  " black  and white " so clear cut that there is no one answer  for everyone . People do make mistakes , and sometimes it is a mistake  that will encourage growth , insight and maturity . I  know there are "serial cheaters" out there , and for those men  I wouldn't waste my time  or devalue  my  self-esteem. But I hope Rosetta made her decision with a mature , sound mind and I hope she continues to enjoy a stronger and happy marriage.

Paris Hilton : Flying High After Court Case

Paris is telling close friends she's  "over being a party girl," and wants to "trade in the club scence for a life at  "home"...seriously.

Paris appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom to  cop a plea in her drug possession case , is telling friends  "I'm taking this whole ordeal as a wake-up call."

Paris has also said that she's using this experience to "finally grow up and become a responsible adult," and wants to spend the time volunteering at animal  shelters and focusing on her business empire.

After pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges in her cocaine possession case ...Paris Hilton boarded a  private Jet for Japan .

As part of her sentance , Paris must pay  $2000 in fines , complete 200 hours of community service , enter an intensive substance abuse program and will remain on probation for one year.

My spin : Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan must share the same  "PR" people , you would think they wouldn't  say the same crap in one weekend ...Oh please , who is Paris kidding....holy shit.

Baron Cohen Will Play Freddie Mercury in Biopic

 "Borat" star Sacha Baron Cohen has been signed up to star in a movie about flamboyant rock star Freddie Mercury, producers said Friday.  Peter Morgan, who wrote "The Queen," is working on a screenplay about the frontman of the band Queen, who died of AIDS-related causes in 1991. The as-yet-untitled film will climax with Queen's barnstorming appearance at the 1985 Live Aid concert in London.

The announcement was made by GK Films, which is producing it with Robert De Niro's Tribeca Productions and Queen Films. Production is due to begin next year, and a director has yet to be chosen.

Founded in 1971 by Mercury, guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon and drummer Roger Taylor, Queen scored hits with songs including "We Are the Champions," "We Will Rock You" and "Bohemian Rhapsody."
May said  that the band supports the project, and May and Taylor will oversee the music for the film. There was no word on whether Baron Cohen will try to imitate Mercury's grandiose singing style, but the comedian has appeared in several musicals, including Tim Burton's film version of "Sweeney Todd."

He said the choice of Baron Cohen, creator of wannabe rapper Ali G, Kazakh journalist Borat and Austrian fashionista Bruno, "will probably be a shock to a lot of people, but he's been talking with us for a long time."
"He's been in on this project since we started talking about it seriously with Peter Morgan a couple of years ago." May said.
Sacha is a very versatile actor and will bring his own flavor and unique style to the role. It will be a Mercury we won't soon forget. Freddie Mercury was an outrageous figure and 'outrageous' is what Sacha Baron Cohen does best.

Lindsay Lohan : Expert Says Lilo Could Be The Next Janis Joplin

The day after it was revealed Lindsay Lohan had failed two court-order drug tests , kust weeks after her stint in jail and rehab, the troubled starlet tweeted a public apology and enrolled in Alcoholics Annonymous.

But according to one Hollywood chemical addiction specialist , Marty Brenner , at this point Lohan could be "history"  if she doesn't recieve a lot more help.

"It seems Lindsay is on the verge of going down fast . It is not if = it is when - she is going to die, unless she gets the right kind of help this time," Brenner who does not treat Lohan , told Pop Tarts , "I wouldn't be surprised if Lindsay  was the next Janis Joplin."

Blues singer Janis Jiplin died in 1970 of a eroin overdose at the age of 27.

[Lohan] needs an absolute minimum of 90 days in an intensive rehab center to address  these issues , a place where she can't break the rules and then a transition period  into normal life again," Brenner said. "Lindsay just went straight to rehab at UCLA back to her old ways with no transition . What she is doing to herself  is insane.

Brenner feels the root of the problem is Lohan's  tight social circle, who apparently tell her she "doesn't have a problem," and her mother Dina , who has denied her daughter , struggles with substance abuse.

On Tuesday, Pop Tarts spies spotted Dina Lohan indulging in a massage  at a beauty bar at the Townhouse Spa in New York, where she was gushing about how happy she was that her eldest daughter was 'back on track' and busy with her career.

"Until Lindsay gets completely away from those people who tell her she's fine , she will never be able to develop  a new mindset  and get through this," he continued. "I don't think more jail time is the answer , but at least 90 days  in rehab is a start."

Lindsay Lohan, 24, may not be so fortunate . Yhe failed tests could mean she'll be sentence to bo days behind bars for each of the two failed tests.

"I predict she will get at least 30-45  days for the violations ," said Santa Monica-based criminal defense attorney Steve Cron. "Judge Fox is going to want to ensure Lindsay is taking the court system seriously and right now , Lindsay just doesn't get it."

The judge has not yet set a hearing date for Lohan.

My spin :  What do you call  parents like Michael and Dina Lohan ???  A couple of  money grubbing leeches that's pimping their kids out  to make money no matter the cost. If Lilo isn't able to make them money ...Dina is preparing their son to take Lilo's place in the money making game. Lilo has accused  Michael of selling pages of her diary  for profit...with parents like these  ...their children is doomed from the start, but hey, that's just me.

Nadya Suleman : Octo-Mom Broke And On Welfare ... "OMG'

Update : Upon hearing of Suleman's impending eviction , Vivid Entertainment has made her a job offer, $500,000 to star in a one hour porn video  MZ reports. Should she accept , Vivid can "arrange for payment to happen quickly so that she can get paid in advance of the October deadline  of  the foreclosure of her home which was due last May.

Previously : Octomom Nadya Suleman has given up on her reality television dreams and is going on welfare, RadarOnline reports.

Nadya has nannies  and huge expenses raising 14 children , a source told RadarOnline . "She needs a lot of money just to  keep up with the basics . And now the income has dried up and she didn't make enough in the past year and a half to live off it.

The source said that Suleman , who has received public assistance  before for her older disabled children , who will go on  welfare "very soon."

Meanwhile , TMZ reports that Suleman has repeatedly fallen behind with her montgage  payments  and her montgage holder is ready to began foreclosure process "right now," Suleman narrowly avoided foreclosue in April.

Earlier this year , Suleman posed in a bikini for  Star  magazine in less than a year after giving birth to her Octuplets . Suleman claimed that unlike Kate Gosselin , she's had no plastic surgery.

Parole Board Refuses Chapman's Plea

Who killed John Lennon? Mark David Chapman was the man who killed John Lennon and in his confession he said that a small part of him must have been the Devil when he went to the Dakota and asked the former Beatle front man for his signature. He wanted to leave then but  felt compelled to wait again for John Lennon’s return and when Lennon came along he walked up to him and shot him.

  Mark Chapman is still  in his cell in Attica Correctional Institution in Buffalo New York. Despite his exemplary disciplinary record, he has not been released. He is in solitary confinement for his own protection, because he would likely be ganged up on by inmates who were fans of the star. He must ponder what  happened twenty-five years ago. His lawyers were adamant that he would be found not guilty by reason of insanity thus committing him to a mental asylum but he was found lucid and proven guilty.
Chapman was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after firing five shots outside the apartment building on Dec. 8, 1980, hitting Lennon four times in front of his wife, Yoko Ono, and others. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Chapman could recall at his parole board hearing this month that he had considered shooting Johnny Carson or Elizabeth Taylor instead, but he couldn't remember that he had also considered targeting Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and others.  The Sept. 7 interview at Attica prison ( transcripts of which were released Thursday )   was 55-year-old Mark David Chapman's sixth appearance before parole officials since he became eligible for release in 2000.
In rare media interviews, Chapman has listed Onassis among potential targets but said in the parole interview he could recall only Carson and Taylor.
"I was going through that in my mind the other day; I knew you would probably ask that," he told the panel via videoconference. "... I 've lost  memory of perhaps the other two."

As he has said in the past, he told officials he chose Lennon because the ex-Beatle was more accessible.
"I had a list of people and he was at the top of the list, and he seemed more accessible to me," he said when asked why he chose Lennon. He said Lennon's Manhattan apartment building "wasn't quite as cloistered" as spots where he could find the others.
"It wasn't about them, necessarily, it was just about me," Chapman told the parole board. "It was all about me at the time."
He continued: "If it wasn't Lennon, it could have been someone else."
According to an interview printed in People magazine in 1987, other potential targets included Lennon's former bandmate Paul McCartney, actor George C. Scott, then-Hawaii Gov. George Ariyosha and then-President Ronald Reagan.

He said that his motivation was instant notoriety but that he now realizes he "made a horrible decision to end another human being's life for reasons of selfishness."
"I felt that by killing John Lennon I would become somebody and instead of that I became a murderer and murderers are not somebodies," he told the parole board. Chapman also told the board he is in good health and works as a porter and a law library clerk. After the interview, the board was quick and unanimous in their refusal.

It sure is nice to hear that Mark is in good health. I hope he stays healthy for a long time and I hope he is refused parole every time he goes in front of that panel. He is where he belongs. If by some chance he is released it would probably be his death sentence, as many people have vowed to kill him if he is ever set free. Justice comes in many guises but at the end of the day, it is usually served.

Gabourey Sidibe on Controversial Elle Cover

In the world of American fashion magazines, women of color have notoriously been under represented, pretty much since the birth of print. Ditto the plus-size population, who go almost entirely absent from the pages of big-name publications, as if they don't exist. So it was a boon for both groups this summer when ELLE magazine announced that full-figured African-American actress Gabourey Sidibe would grace the cover of its 25th anniversary issue.
For its special October edition, ELLE produced four separate covers, each one meant to celebrate a different mid-20's female star--in addition to Sidibe, 27, it included actresses Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox and reality star/fashion entrepreneur Lauren Conrad. But here's where things got tricky:
While each of the other three (all oft-used, not to mention skinny and Caucasian) cover girls are shown off in full-body glamour shots wearing stylish clothes, Sidibe is cropped at the mid-chest, with a swath of ruched green fabric hiding her curvy frame. Plus, her skin appears to be lighter than in most photos of the actress we've seen, which has stirred reactions on the Web.


This is the first big magazine cover for Sidibe, who became famous last year after an Oscar-nominated turn as an abused teen in the Oprah-backed film "Precious." Since then, she's received raves for her appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and a new role in the Showtime drama "The Big C." Similar claims about skin lightening were made in 2008 about the possible whitening of Beyonce's face for a L'Oréal Paris ad and in 2009 for an ad with Indian actress Freida Pinto.

For their part, the folks at ELLE deny any dramatic lightening or retouching of their cover girl. They sent out the following statement via the internet: "Nothing out of the ordinary was done. We have four separate covers this month and Gabby's cover was not retouched any more or less than the others. We had 25 cover-worthy subjects in our portfolio and we chose Gabby because of who she is. We shot this as a story of exuberant young women changing the world. If you take a look at the portfolio, each of the women were shot in different ways and for different reasons."

Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney...Tribute to George Harrison...While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Eric Clapton played lead guitar on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. He and George Harrison were good friends, but George had to convince him to come to the studio because Clapton was worried the other Beatles wouldn't want him there. Clapton's presence eased the mood in the studio at a tense time for The Beatles. They were at each other's throats during recording of The White Album, but they all relaxed when Clapton showed up.

Harrison often had to fight to get his songs on the albums. John Lennon and Paul McCartney were not interested in this at first, but came around when Harrison brought Clapton to the studio.

According to A Hard Day's Write by Steve Turner, Harrison was reading I Ching, the Chinese book of changes, and decided to write a song about the first words he saw, which were "Gently Weeps."

This was originally recorded as an acoustic ballad with just Harrison on acoustic guitar and Paul McCartney on organ. This version can be found on some bootlegs and on The Beatles Anthology 3.

This was the first song Ringo played on after leaving the band in frustration a few weeks earlier. He returned to find flowers on his drums to welcome him back. The guitar Clapton used on this was a Les Paul. Later in his career, he switched to a Fender Stratocaster. Even though this was not a hit, it is one of the most enduring Beatles songs. It remains popular on Classic Rock radio.

Clapton became good friends with Lennon, and played with him on some of his solo work. When Harrison threatened to leave The Beatles in 1969, Lennon was ready to replace him with Clapton.

In the Las Vegas show, LOVE, this song is included. In the show they use the Anthology version with a cello added. George Harrison came up with the idea for LOVE, though he died before the show was ever performed. Thankyou George for giving this song and so much more timless music. We'll never forget you.

LeAnn Rimes : Talks About Affair With Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes knows she didn't handle the end of her marriage to Dean Sheremet very well -  and she reveals why in the issue of  Shape  magazine . Rimes , who graces the Shape cover in a red bikini , opens up about the end of her marriage and what she's learned.

"I understand why people are disappointed in me , especially since I grew up as America's sweetheart. I think any relationship is hard to get out of, and I don't think the way I did it was right," she reveals.

"It wasn't a fulfilling marriage for either of us," she tells the magazine. "As we grew older , we grew apart."

rimes and Sheremet's marriage began  to fully unravel amidst rumors she was secretly dating actor Eddie Cibrian, who was married.

Back in 2009 , Cibrian tried to fight back against claims that he was having an affair with Rimes after they were caught on film from the restaurant's security cameras . The images show the pair kissing  during a date  at a Laguna Beach, California restaurtant .

Later, Rimes addmitted she and Cibrian became friends while shooting the made-for-TV movie 'Northern Lights," and it wasn't until many months later that their relationship "tipped over." It was very emotionally driven ," Rimes told  People in June . "I never once thought what I was doing was okay."

Sheremet and Rimes attempted to fix their marriage after news of her affair broke , but the pair finally concluded ,"it wasn't a marriage  that fulfilled either one of  us," Rimes and Sheremet ended their 7-year marriage  and the divorce was finalized in  December 2009.

Cibrian was also married at the time, he and model Brandi Glanville married in 2002 and have two sons together. They too filed for divorce last year.

"I take  responsiblity for everything I've done," Leann told People. I hate that people got hurt. But I  don't regret the out come.  Rimes and Cibrien are currently in a committed  and  currently live together  in Los Angeles.

"I feel like I'm just now finding mysely," Rimes continued . "I've always been one of those people who takes care of everyone else  - and their needs - first. This past year , for the first time  ever , I put me first. I'm sure some people are thinking that I was totally selfish , but the truth is , there are times in your life  ahen you have to be selfish in order to find out what makes you truly happy."

Though the infidelity drama is in her past , she realizes "there are lessons in it for me to learn" and that the  "most important thing" is "cultivating strength from rough situations ." As she  tells Shape , "after going through this, I know I can face anything."

My spin : Just asking......so when a man cheats , he's a worthless pig who thinks with his johnson ...but when a woman cheats , it's because she's confused ...lets get real...they both are trash, nothing more ....nothing less ...A word to Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet ...you both  are so lucky to get rid of those worthless  pieces  of trash . 

MJ's Kids and Mom Suing Promoter AEG Live

Michael Jackson's three children and mother, Katherine, are suing concert promoter AEG Live for allegedly strong-arming the singer into poor medical care and imposing a grueling rehearsal schedule that led to his death.
By Jackson's final rehearsal in June 2009 for a big comeback concert series, the entertainer was shivering and disoriented in the warm Staples Center, the lawsuit alleges, and would soon be dead from an acute level of the powerful anesthesia Propofol.
"AEG had legal duties to Michael Jackson to treat him safely and to not put him in harm's way," says the lawsuit. "But AEG, despite its knowledge of Michael Jackson's physical condition, breached those duties by putting its desire for massive profits from the tour over the health and safety of Michael Jackson."
The lawsuit adds: "Due AEG's actions and inactions, three loving children lost their father, a loving mother and father lost their son, the Jackson siblings lost their brother, and the world lost its most celebrated entertainer."
The Jackson family alleges AEG Live breached their agreement to provide physical care for the King of Pop and that the concert promoters were negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray as Jackson's physician. The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.


Murray allegedly gave the singer lethal levels of an anesthetic while treating Jackson, whose death was ruled a homicide, for insomnia. He has since been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Director Kenny Ortega, who produced Jackson's "This Is It" tour, is also named as a defendant in the suit.
AEG had no comment and said company officials had not yet seen the complaint.


They seem to make a reasonable case. It does appear that Michael was pushed to the limits of his endurance. I don't think it was well known publicly that the concert promoter hired Dr. Murray. They should have monitered the whole situation better and certainly seen to the care and health of their client.

CSI : Miami New Night ---New Time

In  last May's Finale - most of the miami team was left unconscious on the floor  after a serial killer managed to poison the entire crime lab. As of the few people left standing , Adam Rodriguez's Eric Delko , who returns to full-time CSI status in season 9 , now has to struggle to save his teammates.

So is everyone dead, and it's now the Delko and Horatio (David Caruso) show ?

No , everybody is still alive - minus one. One does not get up.

What happens next ?

The old team is back in  action . We get right to work on actually catching the son of a bitch that did this . And Horrtio and Delko are a pretty constant team. We're going back to that period  [in season 6] , where  we went down to Brazil and had to get revenge on the guys that killed my sister and Horatio's wife.

Who are the bad guys from the past who are resurfacing early in the season ?

One of the guys is Joe LeBrock , whom Horatio's had an on going battle since  {Horatio's son ] Kyle was in jail. Tjis guy threatened to hurt Kyle. The other guy , Memmo Fierro , was responsible  for my sister's dealth. It will be interesting to go head-to-head with them.

Will we see more of the romance between Delko and Calleigh ( Emily Procter ) ?

We'll touch upon it . It won't be ignored . There will be some resolution with whole story.

But no babies for the two of them, despite Emily Procter being pregnant ?

I think it was  a smart decision not to incorporate it into the show. I don't think there was enough lead-in to it. It would have seemed abrupt. but there's no denying that she's pregnant , so the tables have gotten higher , props in front of her have gotten bigger , and she'll be in the lab more often than not.  We're standing around pretending like her   belly  doesn't exist. It's pretty funny.

My take : Well it seems like they are going to put up a good fight  to get their viewers back... Well enough of the Eric/Callie romance and maybe they will have a pretty decent show again.. New season starts :Sunday  Oct. 3  ...10/9 c ....CBS
