Fashion Sense or Faux Pas

Who: Erin Lucas:

Best known as Whitney Port’s roommate on the first season of MTV’s The City, Erin Lucas now hosts a sex and relationships show on Current TV in LA (a slight notch down from MTV fame, no?).
Known on The City for her fashionable ensembles and laid back attitude, it seems Lucas—who also happens to be AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams’s daughter—has embraced the retro-glam look of musicians Katy Perry and Rihanna. Her Blond Ambition/Madonna inspired bodysuit is unflattering, unfashionable and underwhelming. Definitely a faux pas.

Who: AnnaLynne McCord

If ninety per cent of your clothing shows more skin than it hides, you need a new wardrobe! And AnnaLynne, your closet is first on the list. Notorious for her skimpy bathing suit antics (which often include her equally attention-seeking sister), McCord needs to learn the term “subtlety”. Her over-the-top pieces seem to get smaller and smaller, and this grey, cowl neck frock even gives us a shot of her side-cleave…or is that her ribcage? From her bright yellow nails to her mismatched accessories, the only thing this look has going for it is the hair! Faux pas.

Who: Ashley Greene

Just because it’s designer doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Case in point: Greene’s Versace mini dress. Her cute-as-a-button face is drowning in that turtleneck and the cut-away side panels are too athletic looking. The orangey-red colour becomes overwhelming against the almost matching carpet she’s walking and the asymmetrical cut adds too much geometry to the dress. Her Brian Atwood pumps have likely been in better company – faux pas.

Shaun White

Extreme sports wonder-kid Shaun White came away from ESPN’s annual ceremony with two awards – Best Male Action Sports Athlete of the Year and Best U.S. Male Olympian. From snowboarding to skateboarding, the 23-year-old athlete has won more competitions than most veterans can dream of.
One thing’s for sure however: he won’t be winning any fashion awards in the near future. It might be the hair, the skinny pants, or that shiny velvet blazer, but this look is total disarray. Veering dangerously into Carrot Top territory, White is in desperate need of an image makeover. With the millions this kid has in the bank, a stylist (and haircut) is hopefully imminent. Need we say... faux pas.
