Judge Changes Rehab Facility....For Lindsay

Late today it was announced that Judge Revel pulled the plug on Lindsay going to rehab at Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, CA. Sources  say Judge Revel made her decision immediately after the story broke that two court appointed psychiatrists had recommended four other facilities other than Morningside before Revel made her initial decision.  One of the rehab centers they had recommended was UCLA Medical Center. We're told UCLA is the new location where Lindsay will serve her sentence. She will be treated for her addictions and for bi-polar disorder. We're told Lindsay will begin her rehab stint almost immediately after getting out of Lynwood Correctional Facility.

According to a source familiar with Lindsay's case, methamphetamine and opiates are her "drugs of choice". Methamphetamine -- also known as crystal meth or simply meth -- is a highly addictive stimulant and opiates, generally, have more of a downer effect.
Lindsay's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley says, "I have never seen any psych report concerning Ms. Lohan which references a 'bi-polar' diagnosis or an addiction to 'methamphetamine.' I think this is a total fabrication."

One important note ... It has been widely reported that Lindsay takes the prescription drug Adderall, which is an amphetamine. Experts in the field of rehab and addiction say there is a difference between amphetamine and methamphetamine. It's very unlikely that a rehab facility would consider Adderall and methamphetamine the same kind of  drug. I think the UCLA Medical Centre will be a better place for Lindsay to recover. It's a more 'no nonsense' hospital, not a rest home for pampered celebrities who are allowed a lot of freedom, privileges and access to outsiders.
