"[My dad] is very upset ," she tells TMZ. "I heard that he's mad at me, but I haven't spoken to him yet. I feel pretty confident that I can work things out with him. I think he wants to support me in everything I do, and though he sees this now as a negative , I beleive in time he will view it as a positive."
Montana, who was inspired by Kim Kardashian's rise to fame after the release of her sex tapes, says she spoke weekly with her father until the porn news leaked. But she never clued him in to her proposed path to stardom. Montana says she plans to meet with her father soon to "hash things out."
"I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape," Montana said in a statement through Vivid Entertainment."
I'm hoping the same magic will work for me. I'm impatient about having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it."
Vivid co-founder Steven Hirsch said," she made up her mind to make this DVD before we met her. She grew up in the entertainment business and was well aware of our company. In looking at the careers of many current leading female personalities , she saw a path to get started.
In a YouTube interview, Montana and co-star Brian Pumper discuss the video.
"The scene was fun. It was sexy," Pumper says in the clip. "She performed well."
" I hope it's not hurting him . It wasn't done to hurt him," Montana tells People . "But I think it will take time and talking through issures. Eventually, I hope he will be proud of me.
Montana filmed the viedo, under the alias Chippy D, before telling her family , so they couldn't try to talk her out of it.
"Being in an adult film is not a big deal to me," Montana says." It's something I always wanted to do. I have always been comfortable in my body and with my sexuality."
Montana used the interview to clarity earlier statements that she had been inspired by Kim Kardashian's rise to fame after a sex tape leaked. "I am in porn to get into acting . I am in porn because I wanted to be in porn," Montana says.
Laurence Fishburne reportedly reacted with 'stunned silence' when he heard the news.
"I heard through relatives that he's upset , but I havent talked to him directly for him to tell me his feelings," Montana says.
Montana moved out of her family's home at 18, "so I could puruse what I want to do without being constrained by them."
